Didnt Pep say the plan was to give 45 mins to each GK? Similarly with others to give them game time whilst giving a break to established players.

Scott proved his worth with the save. He can dine out on that for years. Also a great talking point in the dressing room with both old men (Scott and Fern) setting an example and showing their value on the pitch.

Sterling was at his anonymous best.

Think you could credit the whole team with that, not sure he was any more anonymous than anyone else. It was a team effort to be so dull.

His lack of technique compared to the others is always so stark though. The ball bounces off him like no-one else.

Not the best game but not worst either.
Wasn't expecting a classic after the first leg result, but still quite enjoyed it.
The light display before the match was good, pity some people missed it like the guy next to me coming in right on kick-off.

Wasnt a great game but City just went into game management. Was expecting Sporting to give it ago but they just sat back. Very odd for team needing goals.

The first penalty shot on Jesus looked at stone wall pen from the SS.

John Stones was good he was always giving encouragement and talking to the young right back. In the last few minutes the pair of them were great in the corner with their nutmeg and close control to play out from a tight corner.
