Spurs’ new stadium

Not sure it's one major factor as a few small ones that are slowly accumulating

Firstly, it means at least one extra day off work, which unlike the Watford game in December, has come as a complete surprise.

Secondly, after 30 years of pining for Wembley, it's simply become a repetitive, expensive chore. This will be my 13th experience since 2011, and it would have been 14 if London 2012 hadn't clashed with City-Chelsea.
We might even be returning before Christmas if we beat Fulham in the LC, and draw Tottenham Away.

However, I sense more than ever that the hardcore City away following is ageing, and starting to pick and choose.
No disgrace, but it's harder, and too expensive for the younger replacements to pick up the baton.
I also feel that it's creeping into other clubs as well
I find away following us getting younger. Lots of beer chucking and coke usage. That aside away trips are the nuts. Brighton was a great night last week despite the result. Bournemouth and Liverpool get an honourable mention. As of course Manchester.

Just bought my ticket for this. This is the third match this year that has gone to my (10000) points level.
Am (pleasantly) very surprised by this as one of those was a German venue we have never been to before.
Any thoughts on why that is? Fatigue due to the number of matches we play?

Do you reckon this could come down to Cityzens matchday memberships?

I reckon so. 3000 tickets, its on telly and no train back.
Cardiff went to Citizens as well, I think, and that wasn't televised.

Feels like this year could be a good opportunity to get to a few away games.

Yeah, thats my thinking as well. Fingers crossed. :-)

I don't get this it jumps from 6k to citizens - waht about people who have 5k points or lower surely they should get preference

I sense it is indicative of the slow demand. I think any ST holder that wants one can have one.

Think similar will happen with Watford which is now on TV.

A few things will have helped the club decide this.

Demand doesn't seem to be very hight for this fixture and it would suggest that fans on 5k or less perhaps are not too fussed about this one or the number of fans between 1k and 5k are very close making it pointless to do separate sale stages.

The logistics means you cant get back to the North West after the game due to the kick off time.

Its live on tv.

Its week night.

All contributing factors really.
