Spurs’ new stadium

It'll be a 3 point deduction for each fixture they fail to fulfil. The precedent was set with Middlesbrough back in the 90s.

Farce

an event or situation that is absurd or disorganized

Yep, farcical.

The original schedule was farcical, they should have aimed to have it finished in June if they wanted it ready for this season.
They knew it wouldnt be ready with one season move, but if they had asked for 1.5 seasons away it would have been no you will have to move for 2 So make it look as though its behind then blame safety

Agreed. Comparing Levy to Swales is completely OTT. You only have to compare the Umbro Stand to what WHL will look like to appreciate that.
Maybe, but he's being over-ambitious in my opinion and that's what reminds me of PS. It's looking like a nice stadium but they're a club that's always appeared bigger than what they really are. Two league titles in 100 years is a poor return. I just have a feeling this will set them back for years, not that I care, they're #3 on my hate list.

.....on course to open on 15th September ........ such delays are commonplace.

Anyone who believed it would open on Sep 15 and didn’t expect a delay was purposefully acting dumb. They knew full well that there was no contingency and will now try to act the victim.

Thank God Liverpool are doing well atm or they’d be a national candle emergency.

Exactly. Other teams have pulled the away fixture trick at the start of the season before but when they've had delays the projects due to finish early summer. You can't schedule a construction project needed ready for August 11th to be finished for the end of September (the very latest possible date it could be ready and used for the league) and not take full responsibility when it's delayed.

If either City or Spurs remain in the League Cup, FA Cup or Champions League then the game probably can't be played till April. There is no free space in the match schedule this season - except for FA Cup replay dates.
Agreed - there's not much time available. Chances are they they wont reschedule straight away and they'll hope we both get knocked out of the League Cup. If not, we'll have to play it whenever a date becomes available in the 2nd half of the season. We would have had a similar issue fitting games in had we got to the FA Cup Final last year.

As to train tickets and hotels if the match date changes, then Spurs have to pay up - not just to City fans either! The fixture has been announced. Of course the Premier League could shaft us like UEFA did - but I'm not sure they'll be able to get away with it.
Nope. If a game gets postponed we as supporters have to suck it up. Its shit but it happens.

If the match can't be played somewhere that weekend then if they go by the rules applied to lower league clubs then it's a match forfit.
Show me an example of that happening in a professional league, or even show me "the rules". I believe you're wrong.

PL rule K.6.4 says they can't give consent for a permanent or temporary move unless (among other things) it "would not have a material adverse effect on Visiting Clubs".
Yes just reading the relevant sections myself. The really bad news is if the game is postponed Spurs don't have to pay compensation to the fans or the away club (section L). So with Levy in the mix guess what?

I've been fucked over £70 for my train ticket...

Dates the fixture could be played:
1. FA Cup 3rd round replay permitting:
Tue15th/Wed 16th Jan between Wolves (H) and Huddersfield (A) game.
2. FA Cup 4th round replay permitting:
Tue 4th/Wed 5th Feb between Arsenal (H) and Chelsea (H) game.
3. Champions League R16 / Europa participation permitting:
Thu 14th /21st Feb or 7th/14th March
4. Champions League QF/ Europa participation permitting:
Thu 11th or 18th of April. [Note: We actually play Spurs at home on W/E of 20th April.]
5. Tue 23rd/Wed 24th April. The only free date in the calendar.
6. Champions League SF/ Europa participation permitting:
Thu 2nd May or 9th May.
That's all the possibilities.

Add to the above the Utd away game that will probably need to be shifted due to City or United playing in the FA Cup QF and there you have a complete and utter mess.
