Spurs (A) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

You think anti BBC vitriol is just about City? You’re the embarrassment. Have you got a Blue Peter badge? Perhaps you think Jimmy Saville and Rolf Harris were harshly treated? They have a statue created by a pedo at the entrance of the old BBC building. They prosecute old people for failing to pay their tax to have their shit piped into your home whether you want it or not.

Wind your neck in dickhead.
You deserve a badge after that post mucker. I think some people live in a sugar coated bubble which smells of lilac and pot pourri. The real world doesn't exist.

Delighted with the win last night. Best thing is that the Tottenham fans were really fancying the F.A Cup this year. That would have hurt.

Even though they’ve had a brilliant run against us at home they were gutted to draw us. Absolutely fantastic!

It was a very much controlled performance by City, Spurs didn’t have a sniff or create anything all game. We went up a gear when KDB came on, once again he’s got goal involvement putting it into the mixer for Ake to poke into the net. Two difficult away games on the bounce to win it at the very end, what’s not to like?
… and KDB forced the corner that led to the goal. Shame that he shanked a good chance earlier, on 81 minutes. At the time I thought it was a bad omen. ‘81 and all that.

Hmm think you might have over-reated?
What's wrong with having a Blue Peter Badge?

I was watching a youtube repeat of the last 10 minutes of the Villa 3 2 end of season game from only 18 months ago.
There were only 3 starters, Rodri, Foden, Dias on last nights starting team that also finished in the Villa match.
Obviously the likes of DeBruyne, Ederson, Stones would normally be starters but the turnover of players like Zinchenko, Gundogan, Cancelo, Sterling, Laporte etc hasn't affected us as much as you think it should.

I was more than nervous in the days leading up to the match and at kick off I felt I had that hang dog look of the long suffering City fan - after more than 15 years of the Sheikh and Khaldoon and more than 7 of "win the lot" Pep!! For the first 15 minutes I watched in disbelief and thought (how daring!) "Mmm, we're doing well!" but still thought it would probably be the prelude losing to a careless goal. A disallowed goal ... chances come and go ... Alvarez shot deflected wide ... KdB misses a sitter (!!!) - all this points to a late Spurs smash and grab! But then cometh the hour ... and a lad we all thought had come to be our fourth choice centre back and the hoodoo is gone. How elated and foolish I felt!

Then, a bit later, I looked at the match stats. This wasn't even a comfortable victory - this was domination. Spurst one shot all match: City 18 shots. This was not "typical City" losing to a last minute own goal, Middlesboro's only shot! This was Pep Guardiola's majestic Manchester City, champions of the world.

As for Spurs, how refreshing to hear a manager who doesn't whine about ref decisions and look for excuses. He's well on the way to creating a side that isn't at all Spursy, and that's no mean feat.

it’s mad considering most of us if we’re honest initially thought he wasn’t at our level on first arrival and now he’s a shoe in for most of us due to his ability, class and consistency, Ake is absolutely top class.
He was decent at Bournemouth,he's now extremely decent under Pep.
