Spurs (A) Post match Thread

Ha! Yeh, I'm fine with it, mate. I just thank god we've got an owner who does invest in the club / team and we've got a "savvy operator" as CEO who doesn't sell all of our best players just as we look like we're about to kick on, and doesn't replace them with quality.

I think Daniel Levy must be the most overrated man associated with football. He gets absolutely bummed for spending no money and getting huge fees for their best players. I'm sure we'd have got huge fees if we sold Silva and Aguero 6 years years ago. But in hindsight, I think holding on to them and winning 3 league titles has worked out marginally better.
I think our lot are doing quite a good job :)

Some of our "fans" would have sold both 3, 4, 5 or 6 years ago too.

Is the correct answer.

Levy is treated like a saint. A hero.

He’s a billionaire and subsequently tighter than a camels arse in a sandstorm.

He invests in himself, not Tottenham.

Totally agree.

Neville was saying Levy is the shrewdest operator in the league! He even name-checked Sorriano and said Levy was better. The guy hasn't won a single trophy!

He gets absolutely lauded for selling Tottenham's best players! I don't get it! If they'd have kept Modric and Bale, paid them what they're worth and maybe even added to it, Tottenham would have been one of the best teams in Europe over the last 5 or 6 years. Instead they bought Sissoko (who was actually played well tonight, to be fair).

Should of been a complete hiding but we invited them to snatch a point or snatch 2 off of us which would probably more significant come may. We got the win though which is all that matters. Love when managers provide justify providing terrible facilities for a premier league game, the away dressing room should be painted with shite when spurs visit the etihad

Hmmm. The unnecessary and frankly ludicrous rag comparison has me thinking you may not be all that first appears.
Slight sniff
Edit: read it back in case I was being unkind, and then noticed the subtle pricetag mention.
Larger sniff

Haha, you sound like you could do with some decongestant tablets.

To be fair he’s done in head in tonight so I’m lashing out, the comparison was more regarding the laziness and inconsistency. The last time I was that angry was with Kolarov against Southampton when he just let some twat run past him and couldn’t be arsed even jogging back.

Yeh there was plenty on here who thought Gundogan was going to keep Silva out of the team. You don't tend to see them post as much nowadays...

Neville actually highlighted to Carragher during their rant, that Liverpool sell their best players. He wasn’t wrong, but why he used it in an argument defending Levy escapes me given that’s exactly what he does.

Carragher is a squealing scouse twat, but he’s come out of that looking a bit of a dick to your average consumer and that isn’t right.

Those with a brain cell could understand his logic entirely.

Sometimes all you gotta do is tell the story right.

He's not the owner anyway, the owner is the one with the purse closed, though even it was open I doubt levy would spend it.

Yep.

He’s a tight cnut either way, be it his own money or someone else’s

Just on the way back now and I reckon that was a quality result. Had seats pretty low down and that pitch was dreadful by modern standards. Spuds are a decent outfit and there big physical team suited the conditions. But we dug out a result so I'm as happy as fu ck. Don't knock the team because that was the sort of performance that can win league titles

Ha funny as f**k but so true Ban Jani. Plenty of room for improvement in the full back department. Both were truly accidents waiting to happen, nervous as fook every time the ball came near either of them to be honest. At least they had an excuse tonight and both Spurs full backs were shite too. To be fair the pitch didn't help a great deal. All in all a great three points!
