Spurs (A) | Post-Match Thread

Hi as a spurs fan my assessment was that City were good but I just thought Spurs as a team played out of their skins in the 2nd half.
I'm obviously over the moon as for me City are the best team in the league. You can tell just by the fact they're able to bring on De Bruyne and he just changes the game instantly.

I'm sure you already know this but the weakness today for me wasn't the lack of ST rather that left-hand side with Mendy. We got a lot (too much) joy from there.

I also do wonder if this result/match has any effect on your pursuit of Kane.

Great game and good luck for the rest of the season!

Thats the problem with this current City team. When other teams dig in and fight, we can’t match that intensity, we go hiding. If we don’t go a goal or two up, I always fear the situation we were in when you scored.

Luckily we have two home games before the international break and hopefully gives us chance to get some fitness and players back. That was fucking awful and other than maybe grealish and Dias the whole lot we’re pretty bloody awful.

Christ, so after ONE game rags have won league and we are relegated!!!! Give heads a wobble!
No, of course not. We’ll obviously challenge for the title but that was fucking weak as piss from us, atrocious! So we’re all going to talk about that in the post-match thread aren’t we?

I guess we will be fine and I have no doubts Jack and Kev with Foden buzzing about is going to be scary. The reason I'm gutted today is the four senior players who had the perfect pre season after a decent rest were all our worst players. I give Ferna a pass because of both his age and legacy but Mendy, AKE and Mahrez were frankly awful Onwards and upwards, just have to stomach the love fest of all things anti-City all week.

That should not be . Pep said we would be on it today. Were we ? He needs to have a word with himself and all the team.
Why shouldn’t it be? The majority of the squad have had a week back training.

This is top level football where tiny percentages make a big difference. I seem to remember lots of people calling for Pep’s head early doors last season

We were mustard in the first 20mins, same as start of last season when we couldn’t maintain it for the full 90

Patience my friend. If we’re still playing poorly in another few weeks, then maybe Pep needs a word with himself
