Spurs (A) | Post-Match Thread

Just back from the game so not watched TV coverage. We were at pitch level so never the best view of events but had a good view of their goal and I'm just staggered that shot went in. Did Eddie think Dias was going to block it?

Performance generally lacked energy and a goal scorer...
you are correct. i struggle to understand when people say him and Allison are the best two keepers, Ederson doesn't save much

Those who moan about a striker situation, if we had Kane and Halland on the pitch today we wouldn't have scored even if we played three games. The players on the pitch played repeating Pep's mantra 'we are not ready, we are not ready' and they just looked they couldn't give a fuck about result. Son and Moura were destroying us, particularly on our left, it was actually horrible to watch.

That's what it looked like to me mate. He thought it was either going wide, or Ruben was going to get something on it.. hard to call but he should have done SOMETHING

Were awful dealing with the counter. But Stones and Zin coming back in will help. Didn't have enough control of the ball and it reminded me of how we started last season, going toe to toe and looking to be quick on the ball rather than patient and dominant.

Hopefully we get back to that sooner than last season and show more control. Box teams in and grind them down. Grealish was good. Showing how he can improve us already for me. A goalscorer would help too, missed some sitters today.

Onwards and upwards! A tough start to the season this, need those key players back in sharpish. Spurs can enjoy that cup final.
