Spurs (A) | Post-Match Thread

Really disappointed with that. Gundo playing high was to be expected as Spurs had a lot of players back to defend, but we looked so vulnerable to the counter. Didn’t help that Fernandinho had a really bad game.

Also on Sterling playing shit. Difference with England is he plays with a striker to occupy space. We don’t have that here you bring Kane in he goes back to his normal form
This every time.

Rodri is the most important player in the squad now.

You cannot question Ferns desire or commitment but Spurs ran through our midfield like there was nothing there. He cannot cover the ground anymore.

We arent going to buy a new defensive midfielder, so we need Rodri to be world class in the position if we are going to win anything this season.

Problem is Rodri isn't world class and never will be. They'd have run through him aswell.

Total dog shit, the problem is much bigger than today,

Yet "we" lap up the ITK messaging about Kane, get a striker in now, do the deal for Kane or break the bank for Haaland.
Our form end of last season and this season is atrocious, not acceptable and is a full blown slump now. We won't get away with a slow start this season, the rags, chavs and scousers are laughing at us and our inability to secure a striker knowing fine we'll we are out the title race without one.

If we don't get a striker this season it's an utterly fail of an transfer window. I don't even mind someone else besides Kane, but we can't keep playing with those inverted strikers any longer. What a terrible performance. And Mendy should just get a free transfer.

Yeh, the whole competition will have figured us with our inverted strikers now.

Mendy should be gone already.

Cancelo, Ake, Torres all on their last chance.
I'm one step ahead of you.

If they'd come through the ranks or were bought cheaply fair enough,

They cost a fuckin fortune though, should not be looking out of place.

Here is a quick thought.

Leicester signed Bertrand for free this season.
No away he can be more awful than Mendy.
I guess no-one wants Mendy hence we are unable to pursue any LB deal.

It's frustrating, I just think it'll take a few weeks.

A few more games, after the international break, we'll have a fit KDB, Foden, Stones, Walker, Zin, Laporte, etc. Grealish will have more than a week in the system to get his feet wet. Kane will (hopefully) be here. It's just going to take some time.

I do agree it's worrying that Spurs and Chelsea (at least under Tuechel) have figured us out. I fucking hate Spurs.
Had enough ball and shots. Same old story, counter attack goal conceded, easy chances missed.
