Would we be better off 1point ahead of Spuds but having to play at Spite fart lane...

I bet you were devastating in the school playground at break time with name calling talent like that mate! Wouldn't like to have crossed you...

Agree totally with the point you were making though.

Spurs away form against the top teams has been poor.

Utd - lost 2-0 in cup, awful performance v utd reserves.
Utd - lost 3-1 in league, poor again.
Liverpool - lost 2-0, bobbins.
Chelsea - lost 3-0, humiliated.
Arsenal - lost 3-0, battered.

In fact i dont think they have beaten a team in top 10 away from home, draws at Villa, Brum, Fulham, Everton.

Tevez will be the difference and we will win 2-0.

I'm certain some of our fans are just as bad. I cringe reading some of the crap on here at times. The sensible posters never really stand out, especially to visitors.

Spurs are similar to us in the sense that they've under-achieved for so long. Whatever happens, one of us is breaking the top 4 monopoly and that can only be a good thing. If Spurs get it i will be gutted, but it won't do us much harm in the long run. We'll still buy well this summer, considering we got Adebayor and Tevez after finishing 10th.

The one thing that will annoy me will be the media love in for 'Arry, who i actually don't mind. It'll just be hard listening to the know nothing twats on the telly going on about how it's a victory for 'football' and all that. You know, the ones who've had it in for us since the takeover.

So yeah, i wouldn't get wound up by a few people on a rival forum, especially not when some on here are just as bad.

Agreed, and personally I don't hate spurs as a club or their supporters or "arry" the really important thing is sky 4 is no more and for the good of the prem league it is about time. I would also sacrifice 4th spot this year to spurs if next year it meant another team besides spurs broke the monopoly even more. I hope one day the prem league will be about all teams competing and the revenue from CL being more evenly spread. With my blue tinted specs on I really want us to end the typical city tag we have and win. Wednesday will be the perfect opportunity. It is going to be a tense, exciting, nerve jangling game for both teams and supporters but in the end I just hope football will be the winner. The press however will have a go at us irrespective of the result because they like the sky 4, they like the certainty of who will be in CL each season unfortunately for them and the pundits this season has blown away all that.

Away from home, though, we only beat Fulham out of those four. That said, the potatoes were utter gash in their last two away games versus the Mackens and the rags. Hope they aren't saving themselves for us.

Its just something to look back on if we do beat them as its clear they have not performed well against the better teams away. Our away stats are irrelavent as we are at home. Like you i hope they are not saving their best for us, they are definitely a bogey team but just feel our big players will perform.

Anyone from our side or Spurs who says they are confident of the result is a lying twat. None of us on either side will be surprised if City get the result. Most of us won't be surprise if Spuds get the result. Our home record is pretty good this season and no bugger (and I mean no bugger) looks forward to coming to Eastlands these. But Spurs are a blood good side, albeit not always brilliant away from home this year. A bit like us.

I fancy us slightly because of home advantage but the last thing I'd be is gung-ho about it.

Spuds fans are utter twats. You only had to listen to their disrespectful bullshit about Pompey before the FA Cup S/F. Utter, utter toilets, all of them. Bad as the rags without having the excuse of winning everything in sight for twenty years. I hate them. They've always been the same. Apart from the rags, only Everton are worse.

Well done, only mentioned the rags twice in a post about Spurs. :)

Tell you what, swp, you go back through my most recent posts and see how many of those mention rags. I can't really be bothered to read your posts and so I won't be retaliating by making comments to misrepresent what YOU write about.
