Something had to give, the truth is we were better with Rico in and Jack and Riyad wide so he's gone back to that. Alvarez in for Kev will help with our pressing.

It's a big call to leave so many regulars on the bench, but I won't argue.

Mahrez and grealish will defo play out wide so it’s got to be two up top. Happy with that part of it

We should reslise that of the 7 billion people on this planet only Pep chose that combination as his starting 11!

That, regardless of the man being considered a genius, is bloody worrying.

But will Alvarez fall back a bit, like a false 9 situation? That might be a good look. I feel as though Alvarez and Haaland have been good together, when we've seen it.

Kind of worrying that we are halfway through the season and Pep is having to resort to experimenting with our line-ups like this. Keep in mind that we now have a fully fit squad. Just look at that bench. If it doesn't work out, it's gonna be so much negativity in hear. :)

I don’t think so. It is more about getting the ones we have to perform.
Could always just go back to what has worked well for us in the past and see if it works again (I suspect it would). Makes more sense to me than just keep juggling things around hoping something will work.

That’s a big call from Pep. For the ones who argued about him rotating, he surely has rotated here.

Time will tell if Pep made the right call. And what formation will turn out when playing.

Spurs is a kinda bogey team over the years. Let’s try and get the 3 points. Can’t say I’m overly confident but with a bench like this Pep has numerous options.

Not as ludicrous as the team Pep has picked though (according to some anyway) ;-)
It's a gamble, leaving who is perceived to be one best (the best?) creative midfielder in the world out of the side. Yes, he's been, at best, average in the last 4 or 5 games. Silly to say otherwise. But is there anyone better at unlocking a flat back 10 with a pass than Kevin? He has the ability to drop the ball on a sixpence. If the gamble pays off, Pep will be seen as having pulled a masterstroke. If it doesn't come off? Well; this forum won't be a pretty place later on.
