Like any club, City included, Spurs have their decent fans and their bell ends.
Big Gay Justin from their forum last year was a classic comedy cockernee tool, but marcspurs who sometimes posts on here seems like a decent lad and posted good advice on Wembley routes when the M1 thing happened.
I would say, though, that when northerners think of a stereotypical smug, flash, loud, brash Londoner, all Frank Butcher Argos gold bracelets and garish shirts, this does seem to correspond more with Spurs fans than the proper respected working class fans like West Ham or QPR, or the pretentious Islington-type Arses, the Happy Shopper home counties hard men of Chavski or the teachers and social workers at Fulham.
Ridiculous stereotypes I know, but that's how I've always weighed it up.

They've won less top league titles than Sunderland,achieved next to nothing in Europe for such a "huge club" and yet the way they seem to perceive themselves as some kind of "Real Madrid of London" is just laughable.
And in my experiece,whenever I've met them on holiday and got chatting football,without fail it's always delivered with a patronising arrogance and aloofness that you just don't seem to get with fans of other London clubs.
They seem to have an in-built superiority complex and seem utterly deluded as to their place in the grand scheme of things...and a little bit like the blue dippers,thier "glorious history" is far more important and worth knowing about than yours.
Add to that the London media's obsession with turning renta a quote 'Arry-a man who has achieved virtually nothing of real note in a 30 year managerial career,a man who thinks tac-tics are a brand of mints-and sporting one trophy to his name-into some kind of English footballing "messiah"... and it's no wonder that the likes of us are sick and tired of listening about how spuds win the FA cup with the "year ending in a one," how they have "a million fans on the waiting list" and endless re-runs of Ricky Villa.....beating them to the CL would feel almost as good as knocking out the rags.

We should show re runs of the "Ballet on ice" when we tore them to pieces.

Tottenham spending eclipses big four

Tottenham's latest financial results have revealed transfer spending of almost £150m in the last 16 months, surpassing the traditional Barclays Premier League top four and coming second only to Manchester City.

Spurs announced record pre-tax profits in the year ending June 2009, helped by the sale of Dimitar Berbatov to Manchester United and Robbie Keane to Liverpool, although both those heavyweights appear conservative in their transfer spending compared to the club currently fourth in the Barclays Premier League.
Chelsea and Arsenal have also been prudent during the same period, while Spurs have needed to reshape their squad following the departure of Juande Ramos and appointment of Harry Redknapp as manager.

Spurs spent £119.3million in the financial year, with another £29.4million invested since on Peter Crouch, Sebastien Bassong, Niko Kranjcar, Kyle Naughton and Kyle Walker, their results confirmed.
Chairman Daniel Levy, who has also overseen projects on a new training ground and stadium, said: "We have made significant progress in delivering on our long-term vision for the club.
"We have always had three key priorities and you will have heard them oft repeated - investment in the first team, a new training centre and an increased capacity, state-of-the-art new stadium.
"We have assembled what we believe to be one of the most talented squads we have had during our time in the Premier League, the ground is being turned and pitches laid for the new training centre at Bulls Cross in Enfield and we have submitted a planning application for a stunning new stadium on a site next to our existing stadium."
Spurs' pre-tax profits was £33.4million, with the departure of Berbatov valued at £23.4million, although it is understood there are clauses that could see that figure rise if activated.
The figures also estimate the club having total assets of "almost £300million". Should Spurs maintain their current league position and qualify for the Champions League, the overall value of the club would be expected to rise.
Midfielder Kranjcar believes finishing in the top four is a genuine possibility, with the Croatia international telling Sky Sports News: "This year our goal is getting into the Champions League. It's a massive goal but we think it can be achieved.
"We believe we have the depth and quality, and hopefully we will do it."
Meanwhile, Levy revealed the club are in talks regarding a new shirt sponsorship contract from next season, with the deal with Mansion due to expire at the end of the current campaign.
"Our search for a new shirt sponsor to replace Mansion is well under way," he said. "Our commercial team is talking to companies in different corners of the world regarding the shirt sponsorship along with the opportunity to sponsor our proposed new stadium."

And don't forget, he was desperate to sign another centre forward in January.

So there you have it. Harry has spent £!50mill. And for that he has got Spurs into the CL and done f*** all else. So Bobby, win the cup and get us into the CL and you've bettered Harry already. Lol!

But Harry talks a good game, especially when he brings City and their money up all the time. Oh how the press and Spurs fans believe and hang on his every word.
