Re: Harry Redknapp one of the worst managers in PL?
Seems to happen everywhere. I think many expected top 4 again, but many could see with City strengthening and us not really buying it would be difficult. If Spurs had pulled their fingers out of their arse than we could have pipped Arsenal to fourth maybe? Who knows.
You're right about expectations. Spurs and City were very medicore for the last twenty years and both in the shadows of our bitter rivals.
The tide has turned somewhat, I think City are more on level par with United than Spurs are with Arsenal though, but there is still a lot of quality at Spurs to battle Arsenal for fourth.
As for Redknapp he is a motivator, a give it your best shot type of manager. Spurs have had some marvelous results with him, beating some of the best teams where players just go and express themselves, but when we're stuck for a plan B in games or tactics need to be changed you sometimes question his judgement. It works in someways as I said but not in others.
It would definitely suit England I feel, as Gary Neville has pointed out that some ain't arsed, some are not motivated, some are too scared. Instead of someone treating them like babies and hiding them away he can get them to express themselves more and have fun.
Hopefully when Redknapp goes the next manager can take Spurs to another level. It's not as if the squad is old and the whole thing needs rebuilding.

People can have snide remarks about Harry but he's broke over a 100 year history at your club that is an achievement and I think he'll get you in the top four again.....
Do you think your fans will be happy with just top four every year? Because as you read on here expectations go through the roof, fans expect to win every game and every trophy going, when your team has reached a certain level consistently fans are always looking and wanting the next step/improvement to a already a top quality squad! Some fans are never Happy and that's a fact
