If the Rags pulled out because of his personal demands there was no hope Spurs could get the deal done. He obviously stuck to his guns, no way would Levy authorise over 300k per week, he’d have a queue of players outside his office with their salary bowls, “can we also have more please?” Never a chance.

I think he and his agents have asked to much for Levy’s liking regardless of how it’s dressed up. I think you are correct though, bit like quoting for a job you don’t really want, put a silly price in and then amazed when you get it!!I read into that £300k/wk thing that he was asking for wages he knew United would not pay so as to kill off any possibility of a deal. I'd be surprised if he asked for anything like that from Spurs.
FWIW, Liverpool’s CL run for the previous season (for which accounts are available for) cost them nearly in bonuses as they received for getting to the final (compared with a normal 1/4 final run)Exactly. Plus CL run. Plus a number of sales over the past two years. Plus the possible sale of Eriksen.
@Spurs fans on here
Is Ryan Sessegnon going to start for you?
Really need to know for my draft league.
Ta
I’ve no idea!
I see no reason why not. Poch loves an attacking fullback and often rotates because of the ground they’re exopected to cover. Might not be a regular to begin with, though.
