Spurs thread 2020/21

Would seem plenty of Tottenham fans think they are getting Rodgers. Would be a sorry proliferation of the 'big 6' diatribe pushed by the media but thankfully, suspect this is just the media getting the Spurs fan something to look and point at.
Why would Rodgers leave a great young team that will be playing CL football and will probably win the FA Cup this year? Why would he leave a brilliantly-run club with an excellent fanbase to go to a basket case of a club with almost £1bn of debt and a very political boardroom? There are very few Spurs players that could get in the Leicester team.
If he wins the FA Cup and finishes third with Leicester he could have any job he wants in Europe. His stock his so high he could easily get the United job or back to Liverpool in the next couple of years or one of the giants in Italy or Spain. He will stay at Leicester for a few more years in my view.

I hope so, but this recent ESL debacle has shown everyone have valuable contemporary outlooks are

His Bessie mate is now the caretaker boss.

Would Levy make it permanent to placate his biggest asset?

No I reckon if Levy promised him funds he would jump ship tomorrow. Leicester are doing great but Spurs will always be a more high profile media loved club. Add the new stadium into the mix and I reckon he'd sign. Then he'd be back to raid Leicester for their bright young stars.

Nah. Rodgers has never been a serious proposition. Too long remaining on his contract and, right now, he'd be mad to leave Leicester for Spurs. Quite apart from which, he's still seen as too much of a Brenton and a bit of a choker (although that might perfectly qualify him for the Spurs job).

Nagelsmann was the main target (and was keen to come) before the Hansi Flick situation at Bayern blew up. Nagelsmann (who is a Bayern fan) is now almost certain to take over from Flick.

Top of the list now appears to be Ten Hag. Rangnick is another possibility - but the idea of him and Levy being able to work together seems very remote. The options drop off rather alarmingly after that, albeit that Graham Potter would be an interesting, if very risky, appointment.

be Parker levy can manipulate him because spurs will have nowt to spend and unless they refinance this loan that’s has to paid IN FULL by end of may the bailiffs be knocking..

Poch didn’t help himself by saying that he would leave if Spuds won the Champions League.
Perhaps, but in truth that would have been an incredible achievement (huge slices of good fortune and a stunning performance in Amsterdam) and most likely unrepeatable.
The fans got ahead of themselves and lost all sense of perspective as the stadium took shape; they will continue to reap the consequences of their actions for some time to come.
