Spurs v City - CL QF I - Pre Match Thread

We should be looking to go and kill the tie. Spurs are not at their best and the new stadium is unfamiliar to them so home advantage is not the factor it would normally be.

Today will have no bearing on Tuesday unless there are any injuries to players Pep intends to select on Tuesday. Over two legs with the second leg at home I am confident we will beat Spurs with reasonable lack of drama (I wont hold this view 10mins before kick off however).

I'm not overconfident but I'm a lot less nervous about this than I was before the QF ties last season.

3-1 City

A loss wouldn’t be a disaster, as long as we keep it to a goal or 2, but it would be nice to be the first team to beat them in that fantastic new stadium.

Spurs are in poor form but CL is different world. We tend to look nervous in these big CL away games. Score draw is my guess, which is still decent result.
