They are going to come at us hard, high press, lots of energy. They’d be stupid to do anything else as they just ain’t got the midfield for dogs of war and if they sit back we’ll eventually get through. If we can play through the press we’ll get lots of chances, if we can’t it’ll be a long night. Ferna such an important player tonight.

Ferns is, who’d you reckon will take him out early, Alli or sissoko

We have not cruised in any Champions League away game. What on Earth makes you think that is going to happen? I think the players and staff of Manchester City know what to expect even if you don't

What a stupid response.

Don’t even know what to say to that. Seems a bit rantish.

We’ve clearly been trying to manage the squad and games recently...I pointed out that I hope we can continue to do that.

It is clear what their gameplan is. Pochettino will try to take advantage of their extra rest and come at us with all they have in the first 20 minutes. Pep knows that is what they will do and will have us fully prepared for it. At Anfield last season we didn't cope but a year on and more experience means we should do this time. Get through that first 20 minutes and we can start controlling things and play our usual game.

After our performance on Saturday I am sure he has given everyone a slap. Having the week down in London will be good for the squad to chat and refocus. The main aim is to score, if we get a couple of goals we have a good base for the return leg.

I think Pep has learnt from that as this year at Anfield as we controlled it so much more and we had control over the game a lot more. Spurs will do well to press as Liverpool use to as well but I think they will cause us problems......keep them quiet for the first 20-30 mins and after that take control.

Tough game against a good side, would take a score draw on this one, the good news is that Spurs will come at us and that will suit City, if we take the chances we will create it could be a good night, that said i am still shitting myself and will be until the final whistle.... As always..

Tough game and cool heads required, no flying into tackles and getting silly yellow cards in the first ten minutes would be a nice start.
