If Kompany or Walker start, one or both will get red cards. Mark my words. Fernandinho will also be targetted by Spurs and the officials. We will need cool heads.

Walker trained yesterday so if he is fit surely we would put Danilo at left back?
I agree that Sane should come in as well on the left hand side.....raheem on the right and ferna kdb and B. Silva central

I thin we may be encouraged to play our normal game after the experience of last season's Champions League tie at Anfield where we tried to be too clever. It's important for our league chances that the 2nd leg is not an intense do or die game. We need to leave the Lane with an advantage of some sort.

I don't think we've looked tired, more that the players have tried to conserve energy.

That's exactly what it's looked like to me. They don't look tired, they don't jaded. They're quietly determined, just getting on with the job with the minimum of fuss.
If Sergio's fit, I'm really not sure if I'd want him in for tonight, or whether I'd save him for the weekend game so that he's absolutely fresh. My general feeling is that Gaby Jesus is working up the gears, and could do a job tonight.

I think we have been witnessing some world class squad and game management from pep for the last dozen games.

I hope it continues tonight and we manage to put a couple past spurs whilst cruising in 2nd gear.
We have not cruised in any Champions League away game. What on Earth makes you think that is going to happen? I think the players and staff of Manchester City know what to expect even if you don't

Is there any point in us showing up?

Reading this thread I think we should just give you a bye.

Do you reckon it is too late to get my money back?

Its a City forum, so not quite sure what you expect my friend.

I don't think anyone on here is being anything other than reasonably confident in our very good team (but with a healthy dose of Mancunian fear & trepidation).

Some strange contributions to this thread. Spurs are not shit, far from it they are one of the best teams in England and are quite capable of getting a result against anyone, especially at home.
Having said that, a draw is a decent result, especially a score draw, and even a loss is not a disaster, as long it’s a narrow loss we should be able to turn the tie around at our place.

I’d love it if we beat them though, Come on City
