big game as Ive mentioned earlier, what worries me is they will want payback for the massacre at our place. Ill snatch 0-1 now, don't care how we play or if we nick it through a deflected shot in the 92nd min. Just want the 3pts

If I was them I would pay back, does not mean much though if we play our game like we know we can

-- Mon Jan 27, 2014 4:16 pm --

Pre match thread from Glory Glory

In the title winning season we hammered them 5-1 away then it was a nervy 3-2 win at home so it will be something similar on Wednesday night imo. Spurs do have quality to cause us major problems so the team cannot have the same complacent attitude we had shown against Watford. There are no doubts it will be the strongest side we can possibly put out then it we can focus on the Chelsea game.

With the exception of Munich which was a virtual dead rubber anyway this is our toughest away game since Chelsea and it'll be interesting to see how we deal with a genuine top 4/5 team who are on a great run.

I'd play Lescott with Vin, I'd have Milner in if fit and we'll need Silva and Yaya at the top of their games.

Normally a point would be a good result in this type of game but the points thrown away to relegation muppets Cardiff, Sunderland and Villa renders this game almost a must win one. We'll probably need to win 2 or 3 out of Spurs, Arse, Liv, Rags and Everton on the basis that we will slip up at home eventually and this is possibly the easiest of those games.

Not sure why, but think we will get our arses served on a plate.

We have lost to worse teams than them this season and think we might get done for pace out wide.

Can even see a dodgy penalty and red card in it for us.

The thing most concerned about is Hart rooted at set pieces. Spuds have a lot of height with Adebayor, Dawson, Vertonghen, Chirches, Sandro.

Think we should set up like game at Chelsea and throw an extra body in the middle and feel our way in.

Otherwise, 3-1 to them.

Not a disaster at this stage and right back on track against Chelsea.

Be both delighted and surprised to be proved wrong.

Fuck me, and I thought I was pesimistic.

Understand where you are coming from on the pace out wide (Zabaleta and Kolarov are many things buts not quick) and the fact they may well go one up front with 5 in the middle. We may also see the rarely seen fired up Adebayor who can create havoc. Sandro I think should be back to protect their back 4.

The other side is though they have a good keeper, Chiriches is their only good defender and Aguero has given Dawson the run around a few times.

If he was fit enouh I'd like to see Jovetic in the Nasri role with Silva playing off Aguero so really 4-5-1 though more attacking then at Chelsea. Garcia slows us down and that's probably the reason we took a while to work our way into the game at Chelsea.

Fucking hell, not been watching football too long then?

If results and performances at home also guaranteed the three points away from home, this title would be over.

I have tipped us for the title all season, but not stupid to think we can't lose more games along the way.

I think Spurs will definitely score, one or two, so it's up to our lads to score 3 or more!

* our team needs to score more than them to win shocker
