Not knocking Bony as I am sure he will be a decent player for us, but what on earth was the rush to sign him in January all about. Especially as finally Pellegrini seems to have worked out that one striker is best.

It means that we now have two very expensive strikers on the bench. Also having left Lampard out of things for months how come he's now a starter when he's leaving us in a matter of weeks.

As usual, baffling.

Totally agree with you on this one. Everything seems to have gone tits up since the January signing of Bony. In hindsight should have agreed the deal to be completed in the summer.

Nasri will not start again for City
Especially after what he did in training pre-derby
Get him out,

As for today, Spurs will try to play so hopefully we can pick them off

christ that side looks average on paper

Does look a rather slow side but on the other hand it should be fairly solid.

I'm not a big Lampard fan as I don't feel he offers enough movement these days which is needed when playing with the 2 Ferns (he's bound to score now) and I would have perhaps gone with Nasri as he usually does help us retain possession better. Seems strange that Navas doesn't even make the bench, maybe he's picked up a late injury.

I've seen on Twitter per the MEN that Nasri and Clichy not deemed fit enough and Navas has a hamstring injury, not being risked. So considering those things, this is the only side we could put out.

The only thing Spurs have on us is speed and more energy, will be closing us down and harassing us all day long. Full backs will need to provide width for us today, narrow setup.

Nothing fucks me off quite like City being 2nd best all over the pitch in this department. Inexcusable.

well with that team lets hope we not going to do the pressing football or that midfield will be left for dead

What did he do?

Scored in a training game (first team v subs/reserves) on the friday
Ran off after scoring and clearly sung '1-0 to united united united'

Because Dzeko is not at the races and Aguero is injury prone. Nothing baffling about that.

Agreed.

You know we need a big summer transfer window when we field a side with the most pace and drive coming from a CDM.
