Squad and who to sell in the summer

bring back rekik give game time to lopes and huws. i also like barkley but with silva jovetic and samir all capable to play in this position i can't see the reason we sign him.

That first 11 would be good enough to challenge for the Champion's League IMO.

We would have real versatility in an attacking sense with Aguero, Reus, Silva and Jovetic all versatile with real quality.
 
No chance of us selling Sinclare. What a dreadful buy. Can't get a game at lowly West Brom and talk of attitude issues as well. Who would want him? We're stuck trying to loan him out until his contract expires.

MDM should be kept as a backup for Vinnie. That's what he was supposed to be and in that role I think he's quite capable. Few teams would have a better backup. Plus if we bring in Mangala, to go along with Nasty and possibly Rekik we are very young and inexperienced. Should Vinnie miss any games, and he will who would we rely on? Would be a mistake to let him go.

Clichy should be moved on for a younger player who hopefully can provide the defending aspects of Clichy with the attacking aspects of Kolorov. Keep Kolorov since he's younger and is a very good backup.

Dzeko is an enigma. Played very good early, then went off the boil, and has been terrific as of late. As a backup few teams have a better 3rd option. Aguero will always be #1 choice but his injury record concerns me. Like the looks of Jovetic, but again his injury record is a concern. As a result I think we need to keep Dzeko. Without him this year we'd not have a shot at the title.

Garcia has been better of late. Still don't think he's the quality we need but can do a job and hasn't had many injury issues so at least he can be counted on. Rodwell on the other hand has to go if possible. Constantly injured leaves us woefully thin at CM and with his history there is no reason to believe it's going to change.

Barry is gone and is Lescott. Would have preferred Barry stayed but it seems we needed to get his salary off the books to meet FFP so I guess we had no choice. Wish them both well but we can't afford to pay such high salaries for backups. Same goes for Richards, particularly since he's always injured. Fortunate for us Zab is an iron horse or we'd be in real trouble. Can't keep playing him every game and expecting him to be at his best.

Think we need to sell Pants as well. For a club of our aspirations we need a better backup keeper. He's been very capable but I don't think capable meets the standards of our club.

Guidetti will certainly be loaned out again if not sold. A total waste of a loan to Stoke where he's not played more than a few minutes. A foolish move to be make a decision based on sentiment from having worked with Sparky instead of going to a club were he'd be certain of playing time.
