Re: Squad strength picture - City, Arsenal, Chelsea & United

Current squad costs so far assuming we sign Mangala : City 355m Chelsea 370m, Man United 360, Liverpool 270m Arsenal 240m. This is not net spend, just total of squad transfer fees to date. (some dubious figures on Transferleague but give ball park ie Liverpool and Arsenal neck and neck whilst Chelsae, Man united and City about the same. Cannot find wages anywhere. More incoming and outgoing needs to be accounted for : United may lose the original transfer values of Little Pea and Kagawa (22m) but gain additional big signings.

All of the red ones are shit and overrated. The blue ones go missing all the time, and the purple ones are injury prone crocks. Green ones are mercenary bastards who hate City deep down.

We can almost make a team from the remaining, non-shit, non-overrated, non-injury prone, non-mercenary bastards that we have left. If only Richard Dunne and Micah Richards were there then we could have a flat back 4

Clichy, Zaba, Willy & the Ferns are the worst of the lot

Amazing looking squad the way that's been shown there, well done op, my heart's pounding with pride looking at that :-)
(Lampard still looks strange in there but somehow comforting?)

The squad is balanced and complete. Another important aspect is that most of the players, the core at least have been at the club for a few years now and so the closeness and understanding is there. Most of the players are also battle hardened and experienced due to the events of the past few years. The manager one year on has also acquired more knowledge of the players in terms of their traits, strengths and weaknesses,

We have the best squad in the league that goes without saying and it will be interesting to see how the manager uses the players over the course of the season in the different competitions. The current situation certainly inspires confidence and belief for the upcoming season.

Only problem is there is only three English players there and we can only have 21 for champions league with five English players included, who is going to miss out.

I count 4 HG - Hart, Clichy, Milner & Lampard
