Just coz u can hold a ball, doesnt mean u become a Pep player. Nasri has always been a meh player considering his ability to hold the ball & his talent. Goetze could hold the ball, had technique but was useless as none of his skillset is "elite", had poor decision-making and he didnt show the fight/mentality even as a 20yr old.
Pep holds no favorites. If others r doing more, showing more, working more ( which i suspect will be the case), Nasri will find it tough. So in all, Nasri has to surprise us this season if he is to be a regular starter. Of course Pep could be a big motivation. But it remains to be seen. I wont be surprised if Nasri doesnt get many minutes. Pep always believes, if u train like animals, u will play like that during matchdays. Hv to see if Nasri is up for it. Pep is no Wenger. He is ELITE. Mediocrity has no place.
