Seems like there's a fair bit of negativity towards Nasri on this thread and to be honest I understand a lot of it, he does himself no favours at times.

That being said, it's entirely up to Nasri as to whether Pep can find a place for him or not, the manager loves a midfield that can retain and control possession and there aren't many better at it than this lad. Don't care what any naysayer says, when he's on song this lad is fuckin mustard.

Working with a manager known for getting the best out of his players, he has every chance of succeeding under the new regime....the rest is up to him.

More likely to moved to CM like he was at Arsenal now we're bringing in more wingers.

Unless he gets a move the only place Nasri will be is

So last season when he looked our best player at the start of the season by a country mile, until he ripped the muscle off his thigh bone, you don't think he was fit?

No I don't think he was our best player even by a country mile at the start of last season and no, I don't think he was properly fit. Him and Toure have been doing additional fitness work to shed the excess. Pity Pelle didn't make him do the same in previous pre-seasons.

Could be our pirlo/iniesta

Very intricate player, recycles the ball well, good passing range.

Could play the pivot roll very nicely, allowing gundogan to push on more?

Well the difference between Nasri and those two is hunger , don't think Nasri has anywhere near what those two have

Not a pivot player IMO. You're talking like Busquetes or Alonso? To me Nasri would be more of an Iniesta or Thiago if anything. If Sami works hard and shows he can pressure and win balls in the midfield he has a place.
