SSN - Newcastle Ban Joey

Yes,he played a few good games for us,but he was well-paid for it.
We owe him jack-shit,and if he wants to fuck his career/life up,then thats his choice.
I personally think he's a nasty, psychotic thug that the world can happily live without.
As,presumably, does the poor 15 year old lad who's head this knobhead did a tapdance on.

The lad is a chav or a scally what ever you want to call him that never grew up. He just reminds me of some of the idiots that live to cause trouble you see them everywhere. If Joey was a 15/16 year old now he would have had an ASBO he cannot control himself. It really is a shame because as a previous poster said he could well have become the new Gerrard his work rate and passion are there just a pity his head isn't no doubt eventually he will turn up in the Fizzy Drinks league trying to rescue his career but what a waste he probably is good enough for England if he could have lost the chav scally hoodie lifestyle

i feel sad for joey, his head just isnt right at all. its a crying shame.

there was one point towards the end of 2005 when i thought he could become as good as gerrard, not just me thought that either.

I think you have been drinking too much 5.2% Stella.
There was no way that Barton was ever going to be as good as Gerrard.
Gerrard is world class, Barton was becoming a very good Premier league player. Unfortunately the leech Willie McKay got his mitts on Barton and turned his head. That's when all Barton's problems resurfaced and he's not been the same player or person since.

i dont disagree. i have been drinking too much 5.2 stella! but i felt, at that point in his career, he could very well have gone on to be as good as gerrard. he may very well have started to believe his own hype.
like i said he had the potential, physicaly, but not mentally.

The really sad thing in all this is that Barton doesn't learn, and it doesn't seem like he ever will.

True, I cant see him having any more chances now.

To ease their financial difficulties, why dont Newcaslte keep Barton and just send him warming up for about an hour every game. See how much money gets chucked at him.

No club will touch him again
The sad thing is, I think your wrong, there is always someone that will think they can change him, look at Collymore or dare, I say it our very own Bellemy(admittedly neither quite as bad), but there always seems to be a manager that thinks he can change someone. I guess you only have to look at Dunnie to see someone that has changed(but his head wasn't anywhere near as far gone).

Wouldn't surprise me if Newcastle are going down this route in an attempt to get his contract terminated. Last thing they want in the Championship is him picking up 60K a week whilst twatting Academy graduates.

Yeah true, but I have a feeling that he might be forced to resurrect his career overseas.
