I like to think of the Roman Catholic church as the Microsoft of child abuse.
Other religions are theoretically in competition,but it's pretty much a niche market that was sewn up by Rome some time ago.

It's worth pointing out that not all peados are Catholic, a lot are Muslim and the majority likely don't practice any religion.

Kids are being raped, I'm not sure why the religion of the rapists really matters.

When an atheist rapes a kid what do we focus on then? A time will come when we have to actually start protecting the youth rather than snigger as they're habitually raped.

I don't think he said that? I think he said atheists rape kids too and that atheism and religion are not the reasons behind it? At least that's what I thought anyway.

No. I don't think that although I did say 'practice' religion as opposed to simply claiming one. Also if the majority of the world is religious then it stands to reason that the majority of acts of all nature will be carried out be religious people but you'd never see people rushing to label a religious person as 'nice' or 'friendly'.

There's always an element too to these threads of 'let's all bash the Catholics' which seems unfair as this isn't extended to all religions and in most instances Jew bashing and labelling all Muslims as paedos is frowned upon on.

It's kinda like saying all people from Leeds are paedophiles because Savile was or that all glam rock frontmen were megapaedos because of Gary Glitter.

I don't see why 'paedophile' isn't enough of an insult, it's like people need to start on the Catholic bit when surely the shagging children is what we should be focussing on.
