St Ambrose child abuse

TMQ's point is a terrible one.

The point of showing them as Catholic rather than atheist paedophiles, is because only one of those ideas claims moral authority from the creator of the Universe and the human race. It's the hypocrisy that's been pointed out

Bullshitted I was a Catholic to get my little one in to a good primary.

Never had or heard of any problems.

Now luckily she's passed her entrance exams for a few grammars but she has her heart set on Loreto (catholic) so we put that down as our first choice.

This story puts the fuckin shivers down me

I went there, my daughter goes there. Great school.

I would have thought it would be as much to point out the areas of society where paedo's are getting into positions of trust in order to do their thing.

If you have as one of your main entry points to a job the fact that you have to be celibate all your life then you are bound to get paedo's. It is natural to have sexual urges and to deny yourself in the name of 'god' is simply not right.

and yes I did write the first line deliberately like that.

So atheist paedophiles don't hide behind moral decency and try to keep it all under cover? They just brazenly admit to it whilst at least being morally consistent and not hypocritical?

I'm still not sure why people are trying to make out some paedos are better/worse than others.

An adult shags a kid and all some care about is the religious persuasion of the adult involved.

Shocking news about my old school. The crimes date back to the 60s, 70s, before my time but does anyone know the teachers arrested?

It said on the BBC it was during the early 80's.

In order for a paedofile to be ”successful” they need to force the vicims into silence. This is easier if they are in a position of power and also easier of there is generally a strict hierarchy in the victims environment as this enforces the paedofiles hold over the victim.

This sort of environment has been more prevalent in religious schools and in religious circles in general. The added aspect of a divine authority that cannot be questioned only magnifies the situation. In more liberal or open environments a paedofile may abuse one child, or a few before being found out, but in a strict environment, such as a Catholic school, they may be able to abuse many over many years before they are identified.
