Stadium Developments thread - New Birmingham City Stadium revealed (p57)

Has the Everton stadium been named yet? Do they have a sponsor? Looks really good.

I heard a rumour last week from someone who apparently knows someone at the club, and also is a part of the Freeman of the city that we (Newcastle United) are looking to build a 90k-100k capacity stadium on Leazes Parks/Castle Leazes.

I very much doubt we would ever get permission for a capacity that high, and I also think there would be a lot of pushback to have an of it built on Leazes Park. So if it’s true, I think it will be part of a plan to come out with a high capacity, and settle for 80k, which would have been their ultimate aim in anyway.
You think in this day and age they could knock down and rebuild the houses on Leazes terrace brick by brick in another location to allow the ground to be finished as it’s already halfway there

Haha, honestly don’t start saying that.

We have just had a fan event at our fan park, and online. The whole board were there. They were discussing the stadium, without going into too much detail, they were saying we have 2 options, stay at SJP with an expansion, or move to a new stadium (close by) with a much bigger capacity, and better facilities. They ended up taking an unofficial vote, and the fans overwhelmingly voted for a new stadium.
It is in stark contrast to a survey they done 18 months ago, and it is also the first time they have publicly discussed it with fans.

Just spotted that you're a Newcastle fan.
I had been wondering why you wanted to expand Sarah Jessica Parker

Just scroll past the first Tweet. (poor lad)

3 stadium options.

I can’t scroll past the first tweet as I’m no longer on Twitter. Anyway, despite them wanting a 100k capacity stadium, I honestly think they will end up with a generic bowl stadium that looks no different to Atletico Madrids stadium, the Stad De Luz, or the Emirates.
