Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi

Phantom Menace birthed Jar Jar Binks!! I hate Anekin's character as well.... it was all bullshit tbh.

The second trilogy were all bad tbh. These last 2 haven't been perfect, but they're miles ahead of the other 3 that were released.
Piss off, ROTS was superb. Bit disappointed by this one tbf, rate RJ as a director but probably the worst star wars film since TPM, really disjointed.

Not nearly as bad as the prequels for me, or deserving of the extent of the internet hate, but there were some issues for sure as has been said. Mary Poppins Leia?

Rian Johnson’s “Ozymandias” is possibly the greatest thing ever seen on the small screen. So I’ve got to believe the talent is there. It would have been better for 7-9 to have consistent screenwriting and direction though. Don’t understand the chopping and changing.

Not having that, TPM was pretty much unwatchable, had I been the age I am now and watched that film in the cinema I would have walked out.....

I put the last Jedi in the same bracket as Return of the Jedi, some parts are annoying, and/or pointless, but I feel I could watch that film again in a few years time.... where as the prequels have no revisiting purpose, as they were that bad!

Who is snoke and where did he come from?
Are we meant to accept that the first order had to wait for the rebels to run out of petrol?
Space Leia!!!!
When did the force permit astral projection across a galaxy?
Luke who would not give up on Darth Vader just gives up on his nephew.
Why is Finn in the film/story?

It’s turd really isn’t it.

I slagged the film off when i watched it at the cinema. Growing up as a fan with the original trilogy, TLJ just legt me feeling disappointed leaving my seat. What i would definately say is you will need to watch it more that once to fully comprehend what the film was doing.

Have to hold my hands up and say I actually like it after watching it a few times now. Yes the plot around the fuel and the casino were pretty naff but the film was actually focusing on failure and dispelling the myth that all is rosey all the time

The killing of Snoke i thought was shit at first, but watching again it was actually sticking to what basically a sith would do. Senses weakness and distraction in the master, takes the opportunity to rise up and become the master himself.

Honestly you need to watch it more than once.

Thinking about it, the real problem with the Snoke thing was a poorly written build-up. I'm fine with what you suggest, and just after he'd been belittled and cast aside, but it didn't quite seem to have the trigger written.

Some explanation of where Snoke came from so fast would have been nice.

Who is snoke and where did he come from?
the outer regions where the empire fled after defeat at the battle of jakku amd reformed as the first order itis all told in tge battlefronts game
Are we meant to accept that the first order had to wait for the rebels to run out of petrol?
Yeah that was a very flimsly plot point
Space Leia!!!!
Jedis and Sith can float/fly using the force, Dooku does it in the clone wars series and vader does it in battlefronts 2
When did the force permit astral projection across a galaxy?
Luke does it a lot in the dark empire series
Luke who would not give up on Darth Vader just gives up on his nephew.
Luke explained it in his recap to rey and yoda said it to him too he has an emotional attatchmemt to the force and it led to his failiure
Why is Finn in the film/story?
Agree was wasted after the potential of TFA

One thing is where are the nights of ren? or were they snokes red guardsmen? none of that is explained

Think they used bits without thought that not everybody will watch the animated series and play the video games linking parts of the plot and at the same time tasked Johnson with opening up the series to new charactors and a direction away from the old themes and set
up to move the star wars franchise away from the first 6 films.

It would make sense to set one of the Star Was spin off films like rogue one in the inbetween years of ROTJ and TFA to explain snoke and the rise of the first order imho
