State Pension Increases

Is that the very same surveys that predicted a resounding win for the remain vote? Yes I might just doubt them.

Complaints are justified, some dick always has to shoehorn Brexit into every fucking discussion.
It is a fact that the highest percentage of people who voted for Brexit was the elderly though.

It is also a fact that some people still resent the result of the referendum given what it has and will continue to cause this country. Things that will affect peoples’ lives for the worse long after the people that voted for it have died.

You not liking it as a debating point is fine, it won’t make it go away though.

Unless you manage to get one or more children diagnosed as "SEN" or "ND" etc etc, which doesn't seem too difficult at all these days given the record numbers of children that are receiving such diagnosis.
I clarified the mistaken benefit point.
I don't know what evidence you have access to in order to make the additional comment about SEN. In my experience, it is very difficult for parents to get a child diagnosed in the way that you refer, but, if they are so diagnosed, they are usually considered as disabled, and thus have an additional need which may entitle the child to further benefit.
Perhaps such children should be sent up chimneys to earn a crust so as not to sponge off the state. That'd solve the problem, wouldn't it Jacko?

Like I said to the other poster it's not a proven fact. Just because a few surveys said so and the media trotted out some older people saying they were voting for Brexit doesn't prove anything.

They can resent what they like but to somehow use it as a stick to beat and punish the older generation, based on unproved assumptions is ridiculous.

It needs to go away it's done, crying about it won't make it change or go away either. Nor will blaming everything on "Bloody Brexit !" Time to make it work or push for a second referendum.

It is. The percentages were shown after the result.

It won’t ever go away as long as the country keeps getting poorer. However badly you want it to be.

It‘s one of the major causes of the lack of money in our crumbling infrastructure, including state pensions.

Really? Or was it just guesswork by another poll?

I personally couldn't give a fuck if people cry about it until the day they die, I've no doubt a few on here will. It gets tiresome though when it's used as an excuse for anything that goes wrong in the country. It's an easy and lazy cop out.

It's not. Go abroad and listen to.people still living in the EU. Open your eyes and ears. Their countries are going to ratshit and prices are going through the roof too. There are shortages of food on the shelves. Are they blaming Brexit too?

The feeling you have for them is reciprocated by theirs of you.

Not giving a fuck about people does give more credence to GDM’s selfish argument and ties in to society having fallen.

This thread is about pensions. We have detoured somewhat, even though the B word is part of the general malaise in this country at the moment, meaning we’re having to scrimp and save more, with not much left to cut.

My feelings for what, a poll??

I didn't say I don't give a fuck about people in general did I? I said I don't give a fuck about the ones still crying about a democratic vote that happened what ...seven years ago? I don't, they need to get over it. Stop wailing it's not fair, do something productive. Push for a second referendum.

We have detoured because as usual somebody fetches Brexit into a discussion and people have to start debating the pros and cons about that. Scrimping and saving is happening worldwide, including the EU.

Ok mate. I’m not going to say any more. Why we can’t push for what you suggest is covered in other threads, along with why 7 years on, life keeps making it relevant.

It only makes it relevant because people won't accept it and blame everything on it. If it isn't going to change then the ones still moaning need to start using all that energy to make what they have now better. I agree there is no point in carrying the discussion on in this form. There is still a Brexit thread I think, not that I will visit it it's over, regardless of the fallout of the vote.

By the way that bloody 90 in 180 day rule is making me cry. I have to spend all my money before GDM and his mob take it from me and redistribute it and I am finding it difficult. Bloody Brexit!
