Statues are artwork. Like most other art forms, they don't need to be identical. They capture and show the spirit that the subject gives, whether it is a sense of power, of pride, of grace, of movement, or whatever - each person takes their own view from the statue. If I wanted to know what somebody looked like I would look at a photo or video.
I look at David's statue and I see his imperious graceful mastery of the ball, pondering which of his teammates he should play it to. I don't care if his hairstyle is slightly wrong.
I look at Vinny's statue and see how he gave that strength to the team.
I look at Sergio's statue and see the sheer joy of that momentous point in football history.
