Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

£60m+ is this some sort of joke, he's not going anyway and certainly not for that paltry sum.

Next summer he would only have a year left on his deal so I could see him going for anywhere between £60m-£80m but not more. Ox went for £40m in the same situation.

Not disputing that for a second. I was just countering the assertion that “no-one” else at City ever misses an easy chance......

Don't think anyone has said that to be fair - Sterling is not great when he has to think about it in front of goal in my opinion. I also believe he may peak early in his career - a la Sean Wright Phillips. I would not be averse to selling if he plays up.

Erm, I suggest you take another look at the previous page of this thread......

And I don’t need convincing about Sterling’s finishing. It’s long been the weakest part of his game

He backs himself 1000% and rates himself as an elite player so therefore he wants the same money as our top earners and it's that straight forward.

The club clearly dont think he is as good or important as De Bruyne and i would agree with that.

I agree. Especially if this is his attitude. I think he's a dangerous player. He's tricky and pacy and can unsettle defenders when he's running at them. He's also clever with his runs. But he's abysmal at finishing. In the big games, when chances will he at a premium, I hate the idea that we'd have something that profligate at goal possibly getting one of those chances.

I'm not sure what to make of this. Id like us to keep him but I wouldn't mind moving him out and getting a better striker.

SWP was a better finisher

Where is the evidence for his early peaking.
He has improved 100 % since he arrived, by your "logic" he may well be a late developer like De Bruyne
