Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

But you continue to do so,engage that is,you are a very sad, lonely individual with nothing better to do,weird as fuck

Not sure you're one to be talking about weird, sad and lonely when you've confessed to being hurt by the way a football player runs.

Problem with Sterling is he constantly misses incredibly easy chances. If he could ever sort that part of his game out he could become a top 5 player in the world. The only thing that lets him down tbh. His shooting from distance seemed to have improved though which is a good sign.

Well let’s see this season if he misses these easy chances not had one yet

If it were a normal, rational poster, I would love to engage in debate, it's what I come to a City forum for, to talk about players, but meeesh isn't a noraml poster. He's someone who has shown themselves time and time again to be not worthy of engaging with seriously in all matters involving Sterling.

Dozens of posters have tried, and failed, to engage in reasoned debate with him on this topic over the past 2 years, but it's not possible. The guy has a pathological hatred of Sterling, because of the way he runs among other things, and will never like him.

So no, I choose not to waste time debating him, but will certainly mock him whenever he sticks his head above the parapet to make a fool of himself once more, because I think when one poster dedicates themselves to spouting off hate about one of our players, it shouldn't go unchallenged.

Oh and by the way,as I attend the matches, and have a season ticket as I have for many years,I'm more entitled to say what I want about any individual I pay my money to see, unlike yourself who relies on tv and match reports to get an even better understanding of what is actually going on,a bit more food for thought with you.

As for a debate, you don't know how to handle a debate lad, because when you lose a debate,as you do a lot, you'll throw some meaningless stat into the equation, which makes it look like you have done research, very clever, but too old to fall for it me

You are definitely entitled to say what you want about any player, I've never thought or said otherwise, and the other side of that coin is that others are free to point out how stupid the things you say are.

If you can't take that, then stop saying stupid things.

I would agree with this but also add that I dont think he will ever overcome this issue. Yes he is young, but in terms of experience he isn't and I cannot see Pep improving this aspect of his game. Yes, we all hope he could get that particular monkey off his back, but until he does imo he doesn't warrant a WC tag.

Go and get yourself a bird or boyfriend,(if that's your preference) to see that everything is not just black and white in life, you need to go out and get some fresh air instead of looking at the pictures of Sterling on the walls at home all day, then waiting for the alarm to go off on your laptop to see that I've posted, like I say, weird as fuck

The one glimmer of hope is I think David Silva has improved his finishing during the time at the club and Sterling does have the commitment to
Improve this side of his game.

It also appears from the All or Nothing doc it is something the likes of Arteta are working on with him.

Clearly there is a lot more history to this than I am aware of, so my apologies for chucking in my opinion without knowing all the facts.

Not going to make a further arse of myself by commenting any further on what Meesh has wrote as one thing I have learnt is make sure your aware of all the facts before commenting.

People think because sterling misses a few chances he ain’t world class so you saying for example Messi and Ronaldo never miss a chance?
I don't think that's the only reason that people don't rate him as being world class.

I happen to think he is a very good player who had impressive stats last season but individually I don't think he's anywhere near world class.

How I see Sterling as a player is he's fast, his movement is excellent, he's good in tight spaces, an ok dribbler but his shooting technique still needs some work.

There are countless examples around Europe of players who fit this description who are not considered world class. I think that term is thrown around way too easily these days and people are getting a bit carried away because of two goals which are out of character for him bar Southampton last season.

In my humble opinion, Real Madrid would not be willing to pay 70 million plus for Sterling on top of big wages and the only way they'd take him is if he runs down his contract and they take him on a free.

Again, I think he's a very good player who has benefited hugely from Pep coming to City and should stay here if he wants to keep developing.

Im sure he is probably his own biggest critic on this and is getting as much help as poss from Pep and Arteta et al, I just simply think that after being at the top table for so long, he shouldn't be having the yips in front of goal and will struggle to eradicate this now.
