Can't help think Pep was playing politics when he said KDB signed his deal in two minutes.
It was certainly longer than that, De Koster sat down a few times beforehand.

If KDB is on 350k per week and they agree to pay Sterling 275k (both of which I am highly dubious about) it means Sterling’s value to the Club is about 80% that of KDB. This makes absolutely no sense. KDB is probably worth in excess of 200m in this market. Sterling is probably in the 50/60m range. KDB is the engine of the team and is there isnt another player like him in the squad. Sterling is a good player but is hardly irreplaceable. We have Sane, Mahrez and Bernie who can all do a similar job.
As I said in a previous post on this topic, I like Sterling but I really believe him or his agent have a highly inflated view of his worth and I can’t imagine the Club will agree to this.
Haha more like he’s worth £100m+ easily if he had more time left on his contract. Last season he was one of the most important players and this season as of now is continuing to maintain this form. It’s a little early to give him this deal, I would wait until January to see if he continues to be a key player (surely the case imo).
Wouldn’t say Sane, Mahrez or Bernardo can do a similar job as none of them have ever scored 20+ goals in a season. I’m sure he’ll repeat this mark this season.

As annoying as his decision making and finishing is at times he really does fit our style perfectly. And I can’t think of a single player in the world who gets into dangerous goal scoring positions from the wing as often as he does. If his finishing was better he’d be ballon d’or no doubt

I actually value sterling higher the kdb, not saying he is a better player but if they had the same length of time on their contracts and we sold both I think sterling would go for more he is younger, he is English and had a hand in more goals last season then kdb. Sterling is criminally underated because the media hate him and he is English sterling had a better season then mbappe did in terms of goals and assists and he was playing against a much lower standard of opponents.
