Not sure what Collymore's problem is.

We know he isn't an 'elite' striker, he more plays behind and compliments strikers. Not sure why Collymore has a problem with that because that's probably why we have bought him to play that role.

What annoys me is that pundits criticise us when we get linked to 50m players and say we should create our own and then when we do and will try to mold a talented 23 year old, we get criticised for that too!!
There's plenty of pundits saying he's a great signing. Collymore just doesn't think he will be great. Fair enough.

Not jumping with joy myself, just yet anyway, not seen enough of him.we'll just have to wait and see. Colly is right about one thing, I can't see this team getting to CL final. Let's hope pelli works his magic.

When did we ever think we would be getting to the CL final this season ?

The dogging turd has hardly said anything we don't know there has he ?

Just winning a few games & scraping into the next round would be a huge improvement.

anyone think we have overpaid?
When seeing Andy Carroll (probably a £10-15m player) Torres (at the time he moved to Chelsea was probably a £15m player) and Cavani (a £30-35m player) all move for over £50m we have not over paid for Jovetić.

I think more than anything, Jovetic seems like an excellent TEAM player. I don't see anything particularly extraordinary from him, or special. He is talented but importantly, does the simple things well. At least that's what i gather from what little i've seen. These are crucial qualities though. In recent years, i've been frustrated at Tevez and even Aguero constantly trying to score solo goals. Jovetic seems to recognise that he has team-mates, which i like!

Where's talk of the CL final come from all of a sudden? I wouldn't have thought that is the aim this season or next. Progressing from the groups, yes, but not the final.

As for Collymore, well he's entitled to his opinion. Plenty of folk are impressed with the signing, myself included. Others, both nothing to do with City and some on this very forum, are cautious about it. Time will tell, but I would rather have signed Jovetic than not sign him.

No doubt Stan thinks Noysey is a fabulous appointment, premiership proven and anointed by the greatest manager the world has ever seen, to continue the master productions so embedded in the theatre of dreams. It makes me want to wretch.

To be fair Andy Carroll was only £35m.

God it was hard to type that without laughing...

So Pelle has been issued with an ultimatum of getting City to the champs
league final has he Collymore?. If that's the case we'll be looking for another
manager next summer. Absolute garbage Stanley.

Ohaye, sorry yeah! Forgot, it was Liverpool who paid £50m for two players wasn't it? Still, West Ham have just paid the top end for Carroll at £15m.
