They say he said that in the Daily Mirror about Jovetic and Falcao but did he actually speak to the Mirror? I didn't see the quotes there or are they from somewhere else?

No idea, but Mancini said Jovetic can be useful for the team and he has been a target last summer where they sent a 30m euro offer to Fiorentina and they rejected it, next summer we will see.

So now Jovetic has higher value than Super Mario ?

30m is too much imo, when you look at Cazorla at 16m !

Jovetic is better than Balotelli, Fiorentina don't have money problems like Malaga did, Jovetic has 5 years on Carzola, Jovetic is better than Carzola, Carzola goes missing in games, Jovetic is a striker, Carzola is a midfielder, goalscorers win games, Jovetic has the potential to be better than RVP.

30M is a bargain compared to 35m for Andy Carroll.

buying a packet of crisps for £50 seems a bargain when compared to £35m for Carroll

£30 million is a lot of money, and probably too much for City if they want either Cavani or Falcao as well as Jovetic.

I guess a lot depends on how much we can get on the sales of other players, and how much we can reduce the wage bill.

I see these figures banded around a lot now with City, but with Txiki and Ferran at the helm I can't see there being much truth in them anymore. Last summer we made a point of not paying over the odds, and while we didn't come out of the transfer window with much to show for it compared to what we wanted, the fact we won't be taken for mugs anymore will be the back drop for this summer and getting good value for money where our buying is concerned.

Yes, Jovetic has higher value than Mario and you know why. In terms of talent they've both got bags of it, and I mean bags of it.

A realistic target and depends if Mancini is still at the Club.

Jovetic and Cavani to me seems like the two players Mancini wants the most. De Rossi as well, but surely that ship has sailed now, for good.
But those two alone would cost what... 60-65mil? That's an awful lot of money.

A thing which really interest me regarding next summer's t-window, is who actually has the final say regarding the style of football we'll play? It's been suggested that Begiristain has the final word, that it's a board decision and not up to Mancini.
Txiki being a very knowledgeable football man and supreme scout might not feel he needs to ask the manager who's right for the team.

I agree that we won't sign both Cavani and Jovetic as it will be too expensive. Both will have to work together as they are both responsible of delivering our style of play and club policy but I think Txiki will have the final say.

But if we manage to get rid of a lot of players we might be in a healthy enough financial state allowing for us to spend big.

I don't think it's wrong to assume that the executives will decide what style we'll play in the future, and then it's then the manager's job to make it work.
It is after all the owner's right to have Roberto switch to a 4-3-3 system and he will then be expected to follow orders or leave; - succeed and stay, fail and be sacked. Just like any job at any cooperation.

We are seeing the dawn of a club-transformation era. New way of doing things, new style of football.

True Matt, and I am looking forward to this and not apprehensive as I thought I might be with the changes we are about to do.

The Balkan VP.

The ball control, touch, and elegance this guy has... Oh please make it happen, Txiki! (:

Jovetic has nicer hair than Cazorla, I can give you that.

He also scored some goals in the Champions League in the past, and looked cool with his " Kaka celebration"

Technically, he is good player but I am not sure that he can reach Mata or Cazorla level.

If he sign for City I hope he will be better and prove me wrong, but I can't see it yet.
