Get in, if that fee is in euros as well that's great.

Nice one Txiki.

Please can someone advise me what this lad will bring to the game. I really haven't seen much of him but of what I have seen he looked average. Not being negative but will this lad score at the top level, where it is required.

I remember him against England, he was anonymous 1st half but caused them all sorts of problems after half time.

Really hope the latest report is true. This could turn out to be a genuinely inspired signing, especially in a season or two.

Would be interesting if United were really in for him - probably knock about 5m off Rooney's transfer value if they're already trying to sign his replacement on the quiet.

Have a nice feeling that this Rooney business is going to turn into a nasty little episode for them.

Manchester United have tried a last-minute hijacking of Jovetic deal, according to Sky Italy. Very difficult though, Jovetic close to City

Jovetic will be far better than Rooney in a couple of years. They're going in opposite directions.

Pretty sure that Bill knows that.

Funny time of life to take up fishing.. :)

rooney will spring back to life when he moves on. and for the record jovetic will NEVER reach rooneys standard. to be fair not many would.

the italian media would be all over this like a rash if it was true, not that it won't be

We are getting him for the money we got for Balo.

Can't complain about that really. As much as Balo had all the talent and ego we just couldn't get it out of him enough on the pitch. I put my faith in Jovetic to really step up another level if he does indeed join.

He fits the exact criteria we need in the squad, the right age, ability and price.

Aguero, Dzeko, Negredo, Jovetic would be the best strike force we have had in recent years.
I'm sorry. It would be good but Tevez, Aguero, Dzeko and Balotelli beats it hands down.

This new foursome would have a better work ethic though, they would also be committed to the club unlike Tevez and Balotelli.

In terms of outright talent the strikeforce with tevez and balo in takes some beating, in terms of balance, the possible strikeforce this season is much more balanced.
