Still angry

Totally agree, but if you were lucky enough to be wearing the shirt that night, would you not think sod this let have a go and show the silly old fool how to play the game? and if you did that, you are showing the watching Pep that you have the required fight and passion.

I can't believe you actually think the players weren't trying! What part of they were nullified by a better team don't you get?

This is a huge point. United have declined, it even started before Ferguson left but after he did go it was rubber stamped and the Premier League was wide open for us to takeover. We had everything in place to be the team to takeover. Chelsea were firing managers like there was no tomorrow, Arsene"stubborn"Wenger was still in charge at Arsenal...it was there for us. We couldn't have dreamt for it to be easier for us to takeover. It wasn't like it was 1999 or 2008 when United had their two best teams or 2004 when Arsenal were so good they didn't lose or 2005 when Chelsea were so good they got 95 points...it was wide open for us to take it for ourselves.

However, we signed poorly in 2012 and won nowt in 2013, we signed poorly in 2014 and have gone even further backwards since. We're now struggling to stay in the top four!

What a wasted opportunity!

You are totally forgetting FFP, restricted squads,50m fines from UEFA. Of course it was the perfect time for us to dominate but the governing bodies made damn sure that we didn't. Under the circumstances of the vested interests we are up against its remarkable what these players have achieved.

For our fans to dismiss that does them all a huge disservice and a total lack of loyalty or gratitude.

The thing is, many of us acknowledge the rough and smooth of professional sport and have learn't not to throw tantrums or always looking to blame someone when things are not going well. The way we are being run and the manager we are about to have at the helm next year all points to a rosy future.

Roll with the punches and enjoy life.

I'm enjoying life fine.

I'm one of the people who has been going on about the future & and how this useless old **** has got in the way of it.

The least enjoyable part of life in recent times has been City. And it's cost me over 1000 quid.

And if you want the ground full of people who don't care, but just roll along with it, then it would be a fitting 'audience' for the pantomime served up this season.

I didn't hear what the "pundits" said but I think virtually everyone's agrees that we should have played better on Wednesday.

I think the comment that the team didn't look like they thought they deserved to be there, was a fair one.

But even in a bad performance there can still be a way through & the way we allowed the game to fizzle out & the manager just watched, was imo shocking.

No way did we try everything we could to win the tie. No way at all.

City has cost me in xs of 2K this season but I don't rock up thinking we have a divine right to beat anyone who dares to tread on our turf. Nor do I think football is as black and white as you and many others seam to think it is. Sure, we could have done much better, but I appreciate when humans are up against humans, any outcome is possible (result and performance).

Putting blame and anger purely down to the manager, is simply naive IMO.

Will I be stumping up £2k again next season, you can bet your arse I will

The tactics were to try and sneak the win. Our biggest names didn't deliver. Pep is a bigger drawer and hopefully we will recruit players who at ease at the highest level!

The game totally fizzled out when their keeper made out he had been shot and stayed down for a few minutes. We had a rare bit of pressure before then (and we didn't know at the time about the Ramos hand ball).

As the saying goes, experience is the thing you get the moment after you need it!
