Some sad twats on here whining like fucking bitches, there annonuncer did this, their fans did that, listen to yourselves....so we have never took the piss out of a more illustrious club...the long and short of it was we deserved it city at the time were a fucking joke, but we the fans stuck by the club through thin and very thin, so it is the Stockport fans I feel for more than anything, the only difference is their fall from grace will not be as spectacular as ours....as someone said glass houses and all that...

Plenty of blues used to go to Edgeley Park on a friday night back in the seventies/eighties to watch Stockport (and put a few bob into their coffers into the bargain). When we had our fall from grace and started playing them on a (too) regular basis however, lots of Stockport fans seemed to forget that and started showing a particularly hostile anti-City sentiment. Fine; that's their choice. However, you used an old saying at the end of your post (the glass houses one). Well, here's another one; don't bite the hand that feeds you.

So just because a few fans of a club that had never in their history been close in terms of ability to us and at one point were better than us in terms if league position took the piss, rightly so, some would gladly see that club go out off business, sad and arrogant if you ask me and sounds like a set of fans we all despise

We've had the piss taken out of of us by many clubs down the years, not just Stockport. Christ, we even became a parody of ourselves (didn't the ''we're not really here'' song start off during the dark days?) at one stage. I have no problem with piss taking in that context. However, you seemed to miss the point about blues backing them back in the day. In my opinion, Stockport fans should have tried remembering that remembering that before pissing into our tent. We're obviously not going to agree on this however, so I'll refrain from posting on the thread again, as we'll only end up going around in circles and ending up no further on.

Stockport was summed-up for me when I last visited. I got out of the car and I spotted 3 pidgeons dining on some vomit.

What makes a place a dump is the surroundings and the people. For that reason, Stockport is a dump IMO. As my dad said, "Stockport is a town full of two-bit millionaires". I couldn't agree more.

I wouldn't shed a tear if County no longer existed.

What arrogant posts. Like probably others on this forum I was brought up in Stockport and am certainly not a “2 bit millionaire”. Like anywhere else some of the town is crap and some is just fine. It’s not as if the whole of Manchester is some paradise is it?
For the record rags who call City “Stockport” as if it’s some sort of insult sound particularly ignorant. It’s like when they call us “Citeh”. Stockport is full of former Mancs who moved when a lot of terraced housing was demolished, as is Wythenshawe. As Stockport borders with Manchester it’s hardly a stretch that lots of fans of both us and the rags come from there.
Yes they might have had a laugh at our expense when we were in the doldrums but so what? Can’t we take any banter anymore.

Can't believe some of the pricks on here sticking up for County. They didn't use banter, they used bile and they still like trying to do so today. The attitude of City fans towards County isn't rag-like at all, it's fully warranted.

For the record, I'm from Stockport (with fully Mancunian roots from Parents and onwards) and I know it's a shithole, so stop being offended. If you're offended by Stockport having the piss taken out of it, then you need shooting.

There are some absolute slapped arses on here. Of course they took the piss when we passed them on the way down, exactly as we would have done. I've a few mates who are loyal, committed and true county fans and as much as i dislike them as a football team, I'd hate it for their sakes to see there club die. And don't like seeing ANY club go down the shitter, because I know how close we came to administration under thaksin. And with administration comes the slippery slope.
