Stoke away post match thread

He keeps banging on about injuries, which is fair enough. However surely this is the time, to give a chance, to one of our many talented young players? They'd most certainly show, a great deal more hunger, desire, and bottle than we've been seeing from a lot of that so called first team of late. Nothing to loose, but he flat out refuses, even in the early stages of the league cup, it was pretty much full strength sides. I'd be seriously questioning my future at the club, under this manager. When you see the performances turned in by the likes of Bony, Mdm, Kolorov, Fernando amongst others. Yet you still don't get a sniff, who could blame them for Fecking off. I've stuck by him for as long as I could, but he's lost me now, some of the performances the last few weeks are indefensible. We seriously are regressing, and I agree he has lost the dressing room. Something clearly isn't right, and he clearly has no clue how to rectify it. Lost count of the times, it's been clear very early on, to every man and his dog, where the issues are in games. Only for him to leave it till it's too late. I also think for all the flack they get, certain players like Sterling and to a degree KDB, aren't helped by his methods. All too often played out of their favoured position, and pretty much, had their attributes and strengths hampered and almost coached out of them. He definitely has to go now, or in all honestly, I think we'd be lucky to make top four.

Interesting what Mark Hughes said post match. He was asked if he considered playing the front three he played today before. He laughed and said he had but didn't have the courage until today. That is a damning indictment of our players and tactics,he knew it would work and we wouldn't be able to cope and he was proved right. I don't know about anyone else but i am going into games these days fearing the worst, especially away from home.We are too soft and easy to get at and score against with no real threat up front with a useless Bony and a kid when Aguero is injured which he usually is.Worrying times.

well, we need a response, Borussia have just beaten Bayern Munich 3-1 so it'd be great to see City respond and show us some backbone

No. No it isn't. It's bullshit. We are a Club with access to the worlds riches when it comes to players. Injuries? It's the job of the manager to ensure that when they occur - because they will - he has an effective alternative in place and one who, having been gifted the opportunity through an injury to someone else, will be sufficiently motivated to never, ever have that shirt taken from him. Other than the odd exception (ie Delph) - who do you see like that? No-one. Because the players are utterly apathetic when it comes to either self-motivating and/or being motivated by the coaching staff. Time to freshen it up City.

The players and their attitudes have certainly got a lot to answer for. The lad said most of the players just trudged off today, no acknowledgement for the support they got at the ground apart from Hart who seems to feel the pain. Too many of our players just see this club as a gravy train.

They probably didn't acknowledge the fans as they were so embarrassed. I wouldn't be able to face the fans if I had been part of a team that produced a very poor performance. We were so poor.

We have progressively gone worse under this managers time at the club, he won the league with Mancinis team

awww i miss him :(

The tealady would have had to have stayed out of his way after that performance!

I might be the first to say this but Stoke where excellent and its only right to say they battered us and deserved possibly more than a 2-0 scoreline.
