Stoke away post match thread

Said it before, I'll say it again - we get outworked every single week. When you get outworked by a shit team, we come out on top due to individual brilliance. We get outworked by a half decent team, we have no answer, go into our shells and end up looking utterly wank.

This was the season we should have run away with it, with Chelsea in disarray, Rags shite, and Arsenal inconsistent, but due to our own failings, we're letting others be a part of it.

Some absolutely shocking performances today, but most worrying was how fucking braindead a lot of our players seem to be. It was clearly too windy to be playing the ball in the air, yet we continued to try and do it for the full 90 minutes, it was as if the players just refused to notice that it wasn't working.

Demichelis should never play for us again, I'd have dragged him off after 15 minutes tbh as Humphreys or Sagna at CB could not have done any worse. Baffling from Pellegrini as well to make like for like subs when it clearly needed a real change.
Mr Humphries from are you being served would be better than MDM and he is brown bread.

I think the issue is twofold for you guys.

1, Pellers is just a non entity. His lack of the fundamentals is mind blowing at times, and add to this a seemingly fearful approach to not upsetting any of his players, lack of any trust in youth, stubborn rotation of players even when the risk is neither worth it or even needed...and well...it makes for grimm reading.

2, The style of play has gradually over the last few seasons not only been found out, but degraded as a direct result, and then exasperated by signing direct players(KDB/Sterling) into a non direct setup. Every team knows exactly how to approach city now.

For me it was a bittersweet game.

Utter shite. Just leaving the car park and I'm pissed off at what I've just watched.
We were shit from back to front. He's just said we're tired but Stoke also played midweek.
Don't think we'll see the dry your fannies mob for a couple of hours, depends on how they get on against West Ham.

Depressingly predictable. Something is wrong with this team/ set up. I'd like to have been surprised, but I wasn't. I said 1-2 in the pre-match thread. It looks like I was being optimistic. Could have been 0-5.
Not sure if getting rid of the manager at this stage of the season will help, but could it make things any worse?

Absolute shithouse performance today from the team. The players seem to have seen the weather and thought fuck it. Pelle needs to give them a kick up the arse and if hes lost the dressing room the club needs to act fast
