Stoke away post match thread

Stoke won't play better all season, and fair play to them, they were by MILES the better side today. With a bit more luck they could have scored 6 or 7 and we had a couple of half chances. Utterly pathetic, same old same old.

And by the way, what *is* Bony, because a footballer he is not. I doubt he'd get into the Stoke side FFS.

Very disappointing performance today. Didn't enjoy the Mancini chants or the booing but it's inevitable after that sort of performance. The two biggest concerns are the complete lack of organisation in defence and the form of Bony. I thought Bony would offer us something different (in a positive way) but he seems incapable of adapting to our style of play and we seem incapable of adapting to his. Playing De Bruyne, Sterling, Silva plus a striker only leaves room for a midfield two which isn't working against teams that show some energy and aggression. Time for Pelligrini's and the players to show some spirit and togetherness.

Bony,Fernando,Demichelis.

Kompany said after our brilliant start to the season that the players from last season were hurting from a season where we failed to win silverware and surrendered the title he spoke of us "being fired up this season " I would love to know where that passion has gone We remain in the top four because the teams around us are bang average i acknowledge injuries which have been a ballache, but with the signings we have made and the money spent they cannot be used as an excuse Apart from Seviile away we haven't played anyway near our best Don't like using the word but we were "gutless" today

No
The first goal, if he had kept his eye on it ( first rule of football) could have grabbed the bloody thing, City crumpled from then on.
MDM didn't even try to stick his foot out for it kolarov was beaten with ease otamendi slid n missed it it wasn't joes fault not a chance

Im trying to get some balance into this as we are all very disappointed today. City have reached fantastically high levels the last few years. We ve done it with a brilliant Ya Ya, a fit Captain fantastic, a fit Kun scoring 25plus a season, a consistent Zabba and fit Silva. These are KEY KEY players we are not compensating for with the present teams being put out. Is it any wonder we are not reaching the dizzy heights we have now become accustomed to. The expectations now are so high that any loss to anyone except Barc , RM or BM is considered catastrophic and unacceptable. MP cannot be blamed for everything however rest assured whatever happens this season.....PEP has had the nod.

Absolute bobbins, concede a goal and heads go down, no urgency and no patterns of play.

Manager heavily reliant on individuals pulling him out of the shit.

Time for him to go, however we have made a rod for our own back hanging on for Pep. So won't happen.

The rate of regression is alarming and the lack of changing anything from the boss is scary.

I said before he got lucky at Seville away we all thought he learnt, but then he played the same formation at Villa when there was no need. Then reverted to type against Liverpool.

The man is a ballon we should be coasting this league but his lack of preparing a plan for whom we are playing is hindering us massively.

yet none of those players were bought by the current managerial regime. Having spent so much money in the last few years we should have players with equal ability to those you have mentioned in the squad.

Who's fault is that ?

Congratulations to Stoke. Great performance combining the will to win with some quality football. Their manager is not the idiot that some posters on here would have you believe.

I wouldn't blame Hughes for having a good laugh at us tonight.

Easy to play city at the moment plus with no pressure whatsoever on the manager or players it's a win win for them.

Unfortunately there has been no players on the market of equal quality to those Ive mentioned that City have been able to buy. If so they would have done as money is not the issue. The owners are always looking for the very best but they have to be available and of course have to WANT to come to us.

I disagree. There's plenty of quality out there for similar prices to those we paid for Yaya, Silva, Kun and in particular Kompany. Bony is so unsuited to our style it's unbelievable but we still threw away £25m on him at a not too dissimilar cost to the players mentioned.

What an odd season.

Really pissed off today, which is becoming too frequent. Another shocking result..... but still in with every chance.

Expected to go to Arse with a fair points gap to catch up on the 21st, but that is now looking unlikely.

Shite day, but still in there.

Bony was not in the same wavelength with our midfield. How many times have we seen him slow down our play with holding the ball and losing the opportunity. He just doesn't fit our system and looks the least likeliest player to create something on his own for a while now. His header passes are not accurate and he tends to trip over soft challenges. He is an immensely talented player but he just doesn't connect with our players.

It's all going to be okay, bony just needs some time!!!!!!
So does pellegrini!!

Beaten by a team that wanted it more than us yet again. Pathetic showing from millionaire pre madonnas guided by shit management.
100%. A bunch of mentally weak millionaire pussies who half the time look like they couldn't give a fuck.
