Stoke away post match thread

Shit shit shit.
The wind was high, was always going to be difficult, however I wasn't expecting the shower of shit that turned up or one could argue they didn't turn up.

Defence was shambolic, demichelis has the pace and movement of a scarecrow, otamendi pulled out of position by his fellow countryman. Sagna has looked tired for a while now, kolarov couldn't stop the cross for the first goal, wondered whether it would've been more beneficial to start clichy to cover the tricky Shaqiri instead. Fernandinho looked ok, why on earth did pellegrini sub him, fernando useless, basically should've been taken off instead of fernando, de bruyne average at best, couldn't take a corner without it rolling about. Silva needs more minutes to bed in but it's difficult with his dodgy ankles. Bony, awful. He tries but he's no aguero and that's what we need right now.

Delph should have started and maybe clichy in defence.

I've had enough of pellegrini choosing the wrong players to start games then sitting back and doing nothing about it when it goes tits up. No plan b, no nothing. Time for a change

Yes the wind was key but stoke didn't seem to have a problem with it.

Went today and was truly shocking. The wind played a huge factor but it's the same for both sides.
At times embarrassing how easy we were cut open and had absolutely no answer to anything thrown at us.
After today's result and borrusia beating bayern today Tuesday will be anything but a formality.
Never Get why pellegrini insists on waiting an age to change things he had both subs warming up all the half time break yet waited till 60 mins to bring them on

We need to get rid of Pellegni now
His selections in the last few weeks has been ridiculous. ( let's leave out Otemendi and Fernandinho ) against a Liverpool team who are there for the taking
Do any of the players look interested in playing for him.
I've been a fan of Pellegni till the last few weeks, but enough is enough, we are currently going backwards

Miss you Bobby! A team built for success from the back! Best defence in league for 3 years straight! God how we need sum1 like him to teach us how to defend again!

Never mind the bad, very bad, defending from defenders and midfielders; we're not a defensive team, we know we're bobbins at defending for a so called top side.

But did we even create a proper chance today? For a supposed all-out attacking, exciting side, what did we really create?

That is the disgrace. We're as far away from being as good as the top sides in Europe as we were three/four years ago.

If Mancini was so brilliant why wasn't he able to motivate the players to play as they should have against Wigan?

I'm not saying Pellegrini is faultless but I feel like we've been here before

Yes managers are always to blame... But wow the players... Just reminded me of the Fa cup final against wigan... No desire

Sack Txiki as well. He spend so much money and i m scared of facing Gladbach...

Should be, they've just humped Bayern. Pep, the manager our whole club and fan base is pinning their hopes on has just seen Mönchengladbach maraud through the middle of his team. I'm sure we'll be no different.

Just that one game you were annoyed about under Mancini?

When Glenn Whelan alone is dominating Fernando and Fernandinho we are in trouble.

Whoever agreed to pay £49 million for Sterling should be fucked out of the club with a hot poker up their arse. He is cheating a living, he could not give a fuck will be sold to somewhere like Spurs for £15 million within 2 years.

Jesus wept. And we moan at the flak the media give us!

Because he was sacked before the fucking game!!!!!!

Outthought and outfought again. Just not up for the dreadful conditions either, our superstars baled out early and all the old failings in defence were exposed. Some new ones up top too, Bony is not right for us and Sterling, De Bruyne and Silva are two luxuries too many on away days like these.

I know everyone is calling for Pellegrini's scalp and his decisions have been crap but I guess 6 months ago most would have rather have seen Maureen in charge, and just look at Chelsea! MDM was shite but he always needs a few games to get back into the swing and he is just not getting the games (thought Joe could have done more on he first goal). Agree Kelachi should have been given a game instead of Bony especially with a game on Tuesday. I think its the number of games that is showing. We could have done with Djeko today, if we are going to play slow build up we need someone big up front or players running into the box but we are just so static. Just hope KDB doesn't give up hope.

I've already been in TGI Fridays and drank my weight in cocktails
Congratulations to Stoke. Great performance combining the will to win with some quality football. Their manager is not the idiot that some posters on here would have you believe.

I wouldn't blame Hughes for having a good laugh at us tonight.

no doubt Stoke deserved the victory and by a far greater margin ,but since clueless got sacked , he's had two more jobs , and we have had two titles ,so lets see who is laughing at the end of the season

Agreed - However, though Hughesy's sacking ruined a brilliant holiday, with hindsight, I don't think he could have taken us much further, but who knows?
