Stoke post match thread

just didn't happen tonight,everything was an inch to long,we created the chances in the second half but just couldn't get that vital touch,david silva looks fresher than kdb and should of started,i put in another thread strongest team tonight then same team for Monaco,where was sterling ?

navas isn't the answer,kdb passing was way off in the first hald,yaya didn't do it further forward,all in all a frustrating night.
 
As I've seen someone else say, does conte rest hazard or costa vs West Ham? No. So why does guardiola rest silva and sterling in a game that we much need to win. Yes we have boro on Saturday but come on. Play your best team!!!
 
Everyone knew tonight was about getting the 3 points so we didn't need to worry about the teams behind us so much in the run in. We all hoped that Pep would pick the team to do it which was the best team. He didn't . One shot on target is a disgrace.
I don't blame the players, I blame the manager. I thought he had got through the tinkering stage, which was the cause of our loss of form earlier in the season.
 
Disappointing could have cemented a top 4 spot. We never do well against liverpool and our away form against arsenal and chelsea aren't the best.
Tempted to say we won't win any of those, but that would me still frustrated from tonight's result.

Conte isn't in the Champions League. You can't compare.
 
Must say I don't think Yaya and Fern are a great combination in central midfield and haven't really worked well together for two season , they are both better holding or single pivot role or whatever the position is called now

They get plenty of rest when there is european football on. That is why they are 10 points clear at the top.

One of those nights when things didn't fall our way , at least it was a clean sheet.

It's all in front of us now and all to play for.

WE concede fewer than you ;-)

A bit lacklustre today in all honesty playing against a team defending we never really had the wit to break them down till Silva came on and were a bit unlucky thereafter.

I think our full backs are a huge issue in terms of this - a prime Zaba would have got in behind them tonight. Clichy/Sagna are completely useless at providing an overlap against teams that park the bus.

never mind a prime zaba, present day zaba is still an excellent attacking option.
Should have played. Unfortunately the league title doesn't mean as much to the hierarchy as it does to the fans. Annoyingly pep didn't seem awfully disappointed in his interview.

Yours won't be a popular view on here but I somewhat agree with you. He had a good 2nd half at the weekend but other than that I can't remember the last time he had a good game.
