Stoke Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

I'm not saying you're right or wrong, and I'm certainly not saying I want Pellegrini gone etc, but if that set of circumstances was the same last year under Mancini, and we produced that performance, there's no way you'd stand for it!

We did produce performances like that under Mancini last season. And he'd been in charge over 3 years. If we're still playing like that under Pellegrini in three years time I won't be standing for it either.

I watched a game where the opposition had numerous chances to score, which has not been prevalent recently with City. I can not, at the moment, see us keeping the enviable record of best defence in the league, combined with ineffectual movement that saw Stoke dominating, until they eventually tired.
I don't mind saying, even at this early stage that this bloke worries me, it's only our superiority in class of players that is helping us limp over the line, I hope to fuck I'm wrong.

Tbh I don't know if we really needed so much change in tactic the we are seeing now. I taught the problem with last season was being slow in attack and the poor man management. Don't know why all the change in tactic. we don't have all the time in the world to hit the ground running.

I feel like I need to go in and scream at Yaya, and whoever insists the twat plays as a 3rd CB in the most useless role since...since....something.

Yaya is the biggest wasted talent ever.

Pulling my hair out. Giving everyone plenty of time this season, but Nasri gets no more. It is painful to watch.

4th in the league I know it's early but 3 cleen sheets from 4 games joint leading goal scorers. No Captain since 1st game plus loads more injuries. Not that bad really just got to up our game.

We haven't played any top teams yet though!

Bring back Mancini.........

Well I know we will all be demanding this after few months why not just make the thread now...

Pellegrini is as boring as it can get,,,,,,,,Boring on touchline and boring in pre match and post match conferences....

Atleast Bobby had charisma and some charm which Pelle lacks,,,,

And for what I observe he does not bring anything new to the table.....

Before you all criticise too much consider that City have lost Kompany, Demichelis, Richards and Clichy. That is our best back 4!!!

I don't think many are complaining about the defending today, but rather the continuing theme of lethargic attacking. We created one really decent clear cut chance in 90 minutes, Jovetic's volley that went over. Everything else was poor long range efforts.

I'm a big fan of Pellegrini and he will need time to implement his style, but my concern is that besides the Newcastle game we look near identical to Mancini's stagnating team from last season.

We've got through a difficult fixture when we were very much weakened.

I think we will now start to move forward

So man for man, manager to manager, Stoke had better resources than us today?

Kompany and Richards were missing for a large part of last season and Demichelis wasn't here. We spent over 100M to fill the gaps.

When we play well, the players and manager get praise. Why is it when we are shite for the last 3 games it is someone else's fault?
