I went Friday and had a top night. I think most Roses fans were too busy having a good time to worry about Ian Brown's singing. Reni looked like a king up on stage. Loved Something's Burning and Where Angels Play. Fool's Gold was incredible but the outro was about 20 minutes too long.

Primal Scream were disappointing. I don't know why they leave out Higher than the Sun. And the fireworks were a waste of money as well. The night was tarnished by the thought that about 10p of my money had gone on them.

Anyone who said they was shite clearly is stuck in the 80's or need there heads testing.... They was amazing i though the instrumentals and for once ians "singing" was top notch, well worth the 55 i paid for my ticket

just got home from heaton park i knew it was going to be good as me as mrs baker walked up the hill with matt kay heroes david bowie came on the rest is history this is for all the people who said ian browns voice is weak it was fekin top best gig this year . rant over

Got a second chance to watch the Roses on Sunday and so glad I went. The band were fantastic with John Squires guitar floating over one of the best rhythm sections in rock. Reni's drumming was phenomenal and for 3 players with no second guitar/ keyboards etc they played faithful and loud (NIMBY!) versions of their classics.

Browns voice still ropy, Pope still catholic, crowd were great, singing every song and a top time was had by all. The sound system and purchasing of alcoholic beverages had improved since Friday.

The only downside albeit a small one was they played the same 19 song setlist each night.

Lots of City banter in the crowd. I noticed the new way to say hello to a stranger in City attire is to shout 'Aguero!' and then hug each other. Lots of that going on. Also booed Mani when he showed Mani Utd sticker on his guitar before playing 'This is the One'. I'll forgive them as the best musician in the group is a blue. Also that song now reminds me of the 1-6 everytime I hear it as it began the Sky Super Sunday programme that fateful day.
