He was at Denton CC not Lawrence's mate, used to be funny if someone whacked him off his short run and then seeing him go long and sending one flashing past their head at 100mph with them shitting themselves, proper quality guy aswell, always had time to teach the kids.

I served John Bentley a couple of times when I worked in Tesco and im sure Frank Skinner was in one day!

Used to play against Gus on Sunday mornings when he played for Moss Side. He's now Director of Football at Manchester Grammar! Played against Darren Sheridan, turning out for Stretford Labour Club around the same time (even though he was playing for Barnsley too!).
 
Sweet Female Attitude got to number 3 in the UK charts about 6 or 7 years ago with a garage tune called "Flowers". It was a female duo one of which was called Catherine Cassidy - I went to school with her and our families were friends. Went on holiday to corfu together. All interesting stuff obviously, but, here's the clincher, Catherines mum is my godmum. Not spoken to her for 20 years though.

They have a bar in one of the Heatons I think called Cassidy's. Not been in as they are rags.
