Strange situation of City's exiled five players

Neil Warnock is poised to snatch Shaun Wright-Phillips for QPR from under the noses of Bolton.

The Manchester City winger will join Rangers along with full-back Nedum Onuoha in a deal which will cost half of the £10million transfer kitty new owner Tony Fernandes has committed to the club.

Former Chelsea winger Wright-Phillips has been offered £60,000 a week.
£5m for for swp and ned???? No deal!!!

Anyone know what's happening with Cunningham! Can't see him have a future with us TBH

Recovering from a horror leg break isn't he? Can't see him here much longer either, he doesn't stand out although is good enough to make it in the Championship at the very least.

Stupid cheap but swp is in the last year of his deal on 60k a week and hardly played last season. Value 1 - 2 million.

We were offered 6 million by Sunderland for nedum but loaned him instead. Further proof that loans ruin players resale value and actually lead to lower fees not higher.

At the end of the day they will never play for us again. It's 100k a week + in wages saved over 5 million a year so even a fee of 5 million for the 2 saves the club a total of 10 million this season. We just need to shift these players now it's pissing mancini off and a distraction for the squad.

Good signings for qpr they will give them a much better chance of staying up.

It looks like adebayor will go to spurs in some sort of deal. The ones no one really wants are Bellamy, rsc and bridge. If we pay most of his wages Newcastle might have bridge rsc Championship club with us paying most of his wages. Bellamy might end up playing no football he just pisses everyone off.

This would be a top move:

Bolton boss Owen Coyle is winning the race for Manchester City’s brilliant young Belgian defender Dedryck Boyata.

Coyle hopes to get the nod to take Boyata (left) on loan for the season after today’s clash with City – and sees him as a key part of his plans. The 20-year-old is highly rated at City, although he will not figure this season for them.

I see the press are saying that Mancini has got his wish and the exiled 5 are all to be given away for free....I can't see that being the case with Ned though as we have actually had offers of money for him as his wages aren't daft.

Liverpool tracking former striker Bellamy for Anfield return

Liverpool have expressed interest in bringing their former striker Craig Bellamy back to Anfield from Manchester City.

Sunderland, Stoke, Bolton, Everton and Celtic have also shown interest in the 32-year-old who played for Liverpool in 2006-07.

Bellamy has been ostracised by City manager Roberto Mancini and is one of those not allowed to train with the first-team squad.

City would like to get the Welshman off their wage bill and, if agreement is reached, he would be available on a free transfer.

Meanwhile, Liverpool hope to beat City to 20-year-old Uruguay defender Sebastian Coates, who will cost around £10million.

I say no free transfer, loan with them paying his wages, then they can take him for free as it ends and he has no contract left with us anyway - same effect as giving him on a free, except this way he can't play against us. What have we got to lose?

I would actually go for that as he only has a year left. He wasn't anything special in the championship and is constantly injured anyway. Plus he has had no pre season so it will take him a month or more to get fit anyway.

Bellamy has said he won't go on loan though as if he has a poor season or gets injured he is effectively finished at this level and certainly wouldn't be able to get another decent contract.
