Strike on 30th June

Yet another smug right-wing, Thatcherite thread, I see. Almost as embarrassing as the last one.

The only scabs on here are the ill-informed, selfish, uneducated fools who deny their class roots and believe the right wing press. I'm behind all the unions. They are the only thing stopping this country going back to the workhouse days of Victorian England.

I pity you thick bastards.

interesting you don't pull anything from my post as wrong! or any of the others?? I'm working class never needed a union, I work hard, don't skive, don't go sick! I don't read the right wing press, make my own opinions from life experiences!!

Whose the thick bastard???

I hate HATE HATE unions. Lazy back slapping champagne socialist SCUM! If I see a 'picket line' I might they won't get a honk but more likely me turning sharply and mowing a few down.

Good on the posters wife who values work over trouble making lazy twunts.

cyber looks like your on your own here!

unions years ago may have had a slight respect from the masses, not now!

I have been to a no. of union officials houses over the last few years because i fix boilers. Let me tell you they ALL live in grand houses in places like Worsley, Knutsford and the like! never met one in a council house!

They remind me of that tit two jags prescott! The "working mans champion" who lives like a king, gets elocution lessons, is a millionaire, accepts a gong and a place in the house of lords!!! what a knob! he's a wannabe lord!

When there is a strike do the union men suffer...no! they still take exorbitant wages from their detested members !

Do they care if they force a business under because of unreasonable demands?...no...because when the business goes to the ground its a minor irritation, a few less members but their fat cat salaries are still growing!

Do yourself a favour, look at how much these fat cat union leaders are on and tell me that s right!

Good on your mrs tttyboy! the scabs are the unions!
I take it you never read the bit where i said i dont have much time for many union leaders but have great respect for shop stewards .this country would be in a whole lot of worse shit if we didnt have people ready & willing to stand up to the bulies & bosses .it is ordernary workers who have fought to stop A&E units ,maternanity wards ,hospitals ,old peoples homes .bus services for the vunerable ,schools & nurseries .ambulance & fire stations from shutting .things that we all value

well the next time the nurses are out on strike defending your local hospital or the firemen or ambulance men striking against closing your local station i hope you have a change of heart

I'll be picketing, along with a fair few others (PCS Union).

I've helped organised it. I've held 'car-park' meetings (as we're not allowed to incite industrial action within the work place). I've held drop-in sessions at other smaller offices without reps. I'm fucking proud to be part of this movement.

I can understand why people on the outside think it's selfish or whatever, but at the end of the day, we, the union members, are sticking up for everyones rights to better pay and pensions - even the non union members. So we'll lose a days pay, and probably a fair few more in the Autumn, to make a stand against the Tory Government who are ripping us off.

/Rant over.

Also, I'm not gonna be replying to this thread for at least a week - I'm off to Glasto...to be a tree hugging socialist, obviously ;)

I'm still in two minds to strike or not. I fly back from Greece the day before. My conscience says to strike but then again I have a pregnant wife and every penny counts at the moment. It's a dilemma!
