As for no one voting for a coalition government. Am I the only one that was fully aware that it was likely in the event of no overall majority? It's just every fucking program leading up to the election explained to the voters what would happen.

No you're not. Everyone was. That's why Nick Clegg was repeatedly asked which side he would back.

I wonder if all this faux indignation about the existence of a coalition would have been so prevalent if the putative 'rainbow alliance' had materialised.

Would it fuck

the same goes for a majority vote by trade unions .every member is given a ballot paper they no if they dont want to vote for strike action all they have to do is vote no & post it back in pre paid envelope
I have no issue with that. I have issue with what I stated in the post you quote.

I keep reading on the forum that no one voted for the government like a coalition was never on the cards.
But what no-one knew ,was which two parties would form the coalition .i only mentioned the coalition in response that it was a minority of the union that voted to strike .as stated a minority of the country voted for this motley crew masquarading as a goverment .was that yet another U turn again today ?the Prime Minister must be quite dizzy by now

course it fucking would oh font of all ignorance

you know jack shit

So you'd demand a general election if labour were in power as the big brother of the coalition. Are you that thick that you believe anyone would believe your lies?

I will be striking. I will still be working at home though, need to get my reports finished.

Prentis has pretty much started nailing his own coffin after todays rhetoric threatening action with the purpose of bringong the nation to breaking point if their demands aren't met.

It's all going to end in tears. With public opinion against the unions and a resolute government there is only going to be one winner.

The term 'choose your battles' seems to have passed Prentis et al by.

Do they seriously think they are going to win this one?

Has history taught them nothing?
I would rather fight & lose than have my nose rubbed in it .the unions have not chosen the battle the coalition goverment has by slashing peoples pensions
Have your nose rubbed in what, in a dose of reality ? Have a look at Greece and then tell me thay that's the lengths you're prepared to go too, because ultimately that's where total denial will get you.
