I also think a wide man is more realistic.

Like who ?

Mancini's favourite seems to be Cerci because he wouldn't cost a lot and is looking really good. There's a rumour of Kolarov for Krasic but Krasic isn't that great IMO and he was terrible for Juve the other day even though they won. Lavezzi and Hazard would be good signings but both so expensive for someone who'd probably be on the bench a lot. Then there's Junior Hoilett, a favourite on Bluemoon already but I've lost count of how many young wingers look great at first but in the end aren't so I'm a bit wary of that.

Lavezzi and Hazard would be good business. We would have to ship off AJ which would also be good business (he is overvalued in the market and his price will only fall).

I think if we need a wide player who is :

1- Not expensive
2- Ready to warm up the bench
3- Can make an impact

then Vladimir Weiss could be the answer.

I do think Weiss or SWP should have been retained, one winger isn't enough. Only problem with Weiss is that while he's fast and skillful he still looks inexperienced and incomplete at 21 while SWP was lighting up the Premier League at the same age. But I watched him against Real Madrid when he came off the bench and he troubled Real's defence more than pretty much anyone else, he will do what Johnson won't, run at a man and dribble around him.

Weiss looked like Espanyol best player on the field against Madrid, I don`t know why they didn`t start him !

I was hoping to see in the EPL, I think he can help teams like Blackburn,Bolton & Wigan.

Gonzalo Higauin or Karim Benzema in exchange for Carlos would suit me down to the ground. I cannot see the latter coming as he is in great form this season and fulfilling his earlier potential in terms of hitting the back of the net. I can imagine Sergio and Gonzalo forming a deadly partnership up front personally.

Linked with Ibrahimovic in an Italian newspaper today. Talent and winning mentality or not, not sure we should be splashing out for someone who publicly admitted last week he's getting bored of football.

Zlatan is saying he's tired of Milan, Mancini loves Ibra, and Ibra said last summer that he could join City in a couple of years if they become a powerhouse (not exactly how he put it)

Balo wants Milan and Tevez is out. 3 world class strikers is the magic number..

I could see this happen next summer

He said he's tired of football although doesn't plan to retire (probably because he's paid so well). Quotes:

"Football is no longer burning inside me like back in the old days. I did not think about anything else and sometimes I didn't even go to school so that I could play. Now it is not like that, I'm interested in other things."

"It even takes a great deal of effort for me to play football with my kids in the garden - I now leave it to the babysitter."

"Today everything has become routine even though I still enjoy it, but you won't see me playing with white hair and I won't play on until the verge of destroying myself. I won't be retiring soon, I'll play on for a while, but I want to retire when I am still at the top. That might not happen, but that is my objective."

"With age you have to care for yourself more. When I was young, if I felt any pain or had any problems then I could still shoot at goal from 40 metres away. That's not the case today. I have to take great care in my warm up before even kicking a ball. I'm getting old.

"I'm not kidding about my situation. I hate to say it, but I don't have the same determination as I had before and I enjoyed myself a lot more a few years ago."

Agreed Mancini likes Ibra but is he another "Prima Donna"? A big ego and unhappy unless he's playing. He has been talking of retirement recently and saying he's not enjoying his football. IMO it would be great to get another striker with an attitude like Aguerro's.
